Damn.  This thread has gone sideways.  I'm personally going to step aside for a while to let everyone discuss Trump, both sides, etc.  Be safe and healthy, everyone!
My big decision right now is to where to order take out from Saturday night.  What about you?
Oh very big news: we have really weird alcohol laws in NJ; the governor just relaxed the laws and breweries can now make home deliveries!
Hope your wives former neighbors are doing better and glad you saw your son.
PA resumes delivering alcohol again, can order up to six bottles. System crashed or something like that.
I'm not a big drinker but I put ice in my wine too.
    Be safe everyone
Thanks bud!  Neighbor is still critical but stable and in a medically induced coma. He is showing slight improvement.  Hopefully he comes home soon.

It’s pretty common to be sedated and unconscious while intubated. Unfortunately I know damn too much about that after last month. Hopefully he recovers soon.

You can’t convince me that this administration didn’t pressure navy’s brass to do this, we are living in a dictatorship it will only get worse!
This is a continuation of the administration to make it be known that they will not  allow just about anyone to speak out about this administration or speak negatively about them.

It's worse if one is in the military, it's all intimidating anyone in the administration to not even think of being a whistleblower. This certainly has a mob feel to how they are running/ruining our government.

Did you read up on how nobody truly understands how the WH came up with the 100,000 to 240,000 dead figures in their dog & pony kiss Team Trump Treason’s ass show the other day. But I’ve got a theory or two for you: it’s either to make the big boy look good when the ultimate numbers come in lower, so he can hold rallies and tout his most successful incredible response in the history of responses or it’s a shit ton worse than they’re letting on and don’t want to “spook” the voters. Or more likely, it’s just a colossal clusterfuck of ineptness and they have not a fucking clue.

The dismissal of the Navy guy isn't the news people are making it into.  It's called opsec, and it's a basic principle that helps ensure you don't reveal information that can put troops in danger.  Every individual on that ship is now at higher risk than they were before, they are now known to be in a weakened state, which increases the likelihood of being attacked.  This Navy officer knew this would be the consequence, and chose to be a whistleblower.  I applaud him, but the military does things the way they do for a reason.

and that ship is at a navy base ,at anchor, with the entire carrier group providing cover. oh yeah, that navy base is leased to the air force. B-2s operate out of there on the regular as well as B-1s and several F-15 squadrons.

I get it, and I understand why people don't like it, but I don't think the rules governing this sort of thing are that far out of line. Does it suck that people have to sacrifice their careers to make things known that should be known?  Yes.
Should they put the rules aside?  I don't think so.

I get it, and I understand why people don't like it, but I don't think the rules governing this sort of thing are that far out of line. Does it suck that people have to sacrifice their careers to make things known that should be known?  Yes.
Should they put the rules aside?  I don't think so.
well in my opinion his foremost responsibility is to crew health and safety in peacetime. now its said he used unsecure means to communicate this critical problem. ding him for that. not removal. especially now. outside of the chain? we were taught if you dont get the answer you need, go higher. so who is to say he didnt in fact attempt the chain of command? I dont trust anyone associated with his admin.

given how the appointees seem more geared to protected fuckstick first and foremost and their actual position a distant second, it was the right thing to do. even were he to be found the one who leaked it to the press.

FYI I was in USN for a time. At sea, shit goes sideways , its a major fucking deal. major.  Onboard medical is in no way equiped to deal with the magnitude of shit he was facing. This Captain did right by his crew. full stop.

With all the wild swings in the stock market and commodity prices, oil, I sure hope the AG SDNY or SEC is paying attention to investments made by Team Trump Treason and his ilk. “Might be a good time, Jared Dear Boy, for your brother to buy some oil futures,” with a wink and a nod.

It also looks pretty bad when the current admin frowns upon whistle blowers & overrules the military to pardon a guy like Eddie Gallagher.

Just continue to not look behind the curtain, the great oz knows all. Those, yes all those, that support this are contributing and should be liable for manslaughter. We had a great opportunity to bring people together,  but that is gone. Divisions are now deeper and Grand Canyon wide. I will no longer give the benefit of the doubt, if you support this you are too intellectually challenged for me to waste a second on, forever.
Admission of a mistake is fundamental to being human, yeah deblasio fucked up early,  but he realized his error and reversed course.  I have never heard the stable genius EVER, admit that he made a error.  Blaming is easy, taking charge and admitting errors that you made are hard, apparently.
If you're a psychotic narcissist with a god complex you need professional attention and not the control of the free world, but hey voting for this pos was a way to stir things up, because professional politicians are evil.
    Idiocracy comes to life.
Morning rant, sorry, but this is scary.

On behalf of the State of MN, fuck you Jared. You sir, are an ignorant jackass.

    Ditto this

As MN is home to 3M, Medtronic, St Jude Medical, the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy, Twin City Die Castings Company,  is Jared suggesting that we keep our stockpile, research and innovation to ourselves?
