Went to bathroom in PENN station.
Went to wash hands.
No soap anywhere.
No hot water.
Went into MSG and quickly found a bathroom and washed my hands.
How does one of the most heavily trafficked areas in the city have no damn soap or warm water?0 -
The bigger question is, why did you go to a Knicks game?tempo_n_groove said:

yes, the article does mention that most people infected now have a milder form of the virus. But there is still so much to learn, I wouldn't call it "misleading". he is stating a fact of the autopsies they have performed.

My employees asked for dust masks the other day because we ran out. Went online only to find out that every outlet has them SOLD OUT...
People. Stop buying the friggin dust masks. Workers need them to stay safe.
You mentioned dust masks. If it's just dust, can they use bandanas or other cloth? The greatest need for surgical masks right now is for health care workers, is it not?

For the most part my guys use HEPA vacs and Hilti self contained drills but hey aren't 100%(even though Hilti says they are) so I like for them to use an N95 mask. The fitted masks are overkill for our application.
We have the masks but they weren't on site, I went to purchase some locally for the time being and they were gone.

Assuming the ingredients are available, maybe look for a recipe for making soap.I'm assuming many places are out of rubbing alcohol. If not, 2/3 rubbing alcohol mixed with 1/3 aloe vera gel makes a good substitute for hand sanitizer.I hope some companies out there are ramping up production of essentials like soap and hand sanitizers. Cosmetics companies could chill with non-essential production, ramp up on the essentials, and make as much more money in the long run.The coming months will say a lot about how smart and sensible people are about prioritizing and doing what is needed. This virus will probably prove to deal out some harsh lessons. Maybe it will be good for us in the long run.And I don't say any of this flippantly. I'm older/ going on old and already have a compromised immune system. If I get this virus, I'm very worried that it will take me out."It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 -

I have a paint store. We ran out of n95 8210 and 8511 mid January. Venders have zero clue when they will receive more. Chinese people were storming stores in my neighborhood and buying them out, then shipping them to China. Not a day goes by without 20 people asking for masks. Most now are workers sanding or demo jobs who can’t do their jobs safely. It’s insane. Even with this, I’d never thought it would come to not being able to buy hand soap. HAND SOAP!! Lol.tempo_n_groove said:

Went to Costco last night just for pizza. Saw half the cleaning shelves just empty. No TP, paper towels, Lysol, etc.
I still don’t understand why this virus makes people want to stock up on toilet paper? Do they think they’ll stop making it or something?0 -
I think the stocking up of toilet paper (which I've stocked up on as well) is due to the fact that if there is an outbreak in your community, the last place you'll want to go is to a grocery store or a dollar store where everyone else will be going. Plus, toilet paper never expires, so if you need a lot for a pandemic, you're good, if you don't, well then you don't have to buy toilet paper for a few months. Win/win.mace1229 said:Went to Costco last night just for pizza. Saw half the cleaning shelves just empty. No TP, paper towels, Lysol, etc.
