I would say that’s pretty misleading. They are basing those conclusions on a very small sample of those who died, who by definition had a more severe form of disease. There are many thousands of people who have recovered already so any study on whether there is long-standing lung damage needs to occur with them.HughFreakingDillon said:

yes, the article does mention that most people infected now have a milder form of the virus. But there is still so much to learn, I wouldn't call it "misleading". he is stating a fact of the autopsies they have performed.
the headline is a tad alarmist, yes, but the article itself explains everything quite clearly.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0 -
It's very misleading. I don't care if he's the director of intensive care, it's irresponsible to make comments about long term prognosis of a disease where the vast majority of people recover based solely on autopsy findings.HughFreakingDillon said:

I read the article and the paper they mention is based on autopsy findings from a single patient. There is no mention in the article if this patient had any pre-existing lung condition or other health issues. If you have even a basic understanding of how medicine, and biological sicences, work then it's clear that these comments are the medical version of clickbait and just feed the hysteria.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0 -
Any information coming out of China, I’m taking with a grain of salt given their pleased with the disinformation campaign on social media and besides the article’s one alarming sentence or bi-line regarding the AIDS connection, there’s no further information or follow up to the claim.HughFreakingDillon said:

I saw this the other night and is mildly amusing. what's interesting though is since seeing this video i've come to realize how often I touch my face in the course of an hour or day. it's just natural i think so hard to stop.Kat said:The virus is definitely not funny though.0 -

Yes, a very difficult tendency to stop! The average person touches his or her face anywhere from a couple hundred to two thousand times a day.

Governor Wolf of Pennsylvania has reported that two “presumed positive” cases of coronavirus have turned up in Pennsylvania, one in Delaware County (where I used to live) and one in Wayne County (where I currently work), and the two individuals have been quarantined in their homes.

People. Stop buying the friggin dust masks. Workers need them to stay safe.0 -
Right on. The masks do little or nothing to keep someone from getting the virus and are need by health care workers. People buying up the masks are shooting themselves in the foot.tempo_n_groove said:So Purell and any ingredients to make a hand sanitizer are now sold out.
