Ford to make 100K face shields in Windsor, Ont., to aid in COVID-19 fight

Let's hope they give some to the US.
Doubtful.  I think these are being donated locally, just in the Windsor/Essex area.

The US has more than enough manufacturing capacity to meet their needs and then some...

Our manufacturers are stepping in and volunteering to re-tool their facilities...

Canada did not have to order manufacturers to help.

ontario has set up a 50 million fund to assist in the re-tooling.

In late January, President Trump's economic adviser Peter Navarro warned his White House colleagues the novel coronavirus could take more than half a million American lives and cost close to $6 trillion, according to memos obtained by Axios.

As people around here will surely be surprised to hear, I have no empathy or sympathy for people like Johnson/Paul/Limbaugh/etc who have made a career out of damaging our society.

The world will be a better place without them, and their mockery serves as a warning to those who hope to fill their shoes when they're gone.
Psycho. Not surprised at all though. You’re right about that at least

    Either way. You’re nuts.
In all seriousness though.  Why should there be any sympathy for people like Boris Johnson, Rand Paul, Rush Limbaugh?  They have no regard for my life or well being, I am content to show them the same courtesy.
I understand where you’re coming from.  I really do. I feel the same way about them. But I still wouldn’t wish anything bad on them. I wouldn’t celebrate them getting covid-19 or cancer. It’s just in bad taste imo

Conservatives have been weaponizing the moral high ground for ages now.  See: prosperity gospel.

If you're a good little Christian, God will shower you with riches. And if bad things happen to you, like being poor or sick; well you must have done something to deserve it.

Now I won't suggest there's some sort of karma involved here.  Karma does not bend to the will of man.  But I certainly won't lose any sleep over it.

I don't care if Limbaugh et al gets cancer, or hit by a train, the sooner their mortal soul leaves this plane, the better.  And when it does, they won't garner any sympathy from me.

Let their legacy be nothing but shame and regret, serving as an example for others who are thinking about capitalizing in human suffering the way they have.

Chris, sorry to hear of your family's loss.

    Fuck this virus.
    TY man.

I just hope that we start rallying around all the people that make it through this.  Celebrate something good.

My 83 year old cousin just succumbed to this in that way.  His heart just stopped beating.
We are still getting details but from what we know he was sick for a week and his heart just stopped.  He did have Covid.

I'm really sorry for your loss! And I feel with you.
We lost my aunty yesterday morning. In the end, all organs failed. Terrible imagination that she died all alone. I can't even go to the funeral, only closest family members. But my parents will go.

    Fuck, that damn virus..

Please be safe everyone. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!

who stands to benefit in Wisconsin's case.....

I live in a GOP controlled state, Ohio. Both chambers and the Governor. THEY came together and extended, after the election was supposed to occur, to end of April for mail in absentee. This was done out of an abundance of caution. Particularly for poll volunteers, who are majority elderly. I will note I have been seeing very young adults as volunteers the last few polling days. Its encouraging.
