The coronavirus

Good evening troopers! Had an explosive cry earlier, usually I can make it til the kid is sleeping, but I feel better. Hope those who can get out are!
You first saw Okanagan lake, then the glass waters of Wood lake. This one is, as the First peoples say, Kalamalka, Lake of Many Colours. Such fond memories in this water... add a basketball and guitars, makes for some great times!
Hang in there!!!I was swimming in the Great Barrier Reef
Animals were hiding behind the Coral
Except for little Turtle
I could swear he's trying to talk to me

Such an order would be unprecedented in American history, but some of Trump's top advisors have said publicly they would be open to it. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said Sunday he had raised the prospect of such a dramatic step with the administration.
“I think we should really be overly aggressive and get criticized for overreacting,” Fauci said Sunday on NBC's Meet The Press. “I think Americans should be prepared that they're going to have to hunker down significantly more than we as a country are doing.””

Great so if the government completely bungles everything worse than they already have, people won’t be able to protest or congregate in the streets. So far I have seen no proposal that assures me that everything will be ok by forcing us to shelter in place while millions go without income and the bills continue piling up.
Sheltering at home is our best defense against this right now so other than those performing essential services, the more people who stay home, the better. I don't want us to have lines of military vehicles carting off corpses like what is happening in Italy. This is hard for all of us. My wife's bookstore is closed and she isn't sure she will even have a business when this is all over. My business is shut down and I no longer (hopefully just for now but iffy) have a job (and all of the store employees are out of work). But I'm staying home. It's the right thing to do. We NEED to do this.
Easy to say? Read my post again and tell me that was easy to say. Oh, that's right, most used book dealers are rolling dough. Come on man...

The easiest thing is to keep trying to limp and ignore the things we are seeing.
For our fucking idiot of a president to seek credit for how great a job he is doing.....
Yes, I understand where taxes come from.
I also understand that we spend billions of dollars on things that are not as essential bas preserving our country and our way of life, here.
We can take a step back from being the world police (America, fuck yeah!) and provide steps to save our economy
I posted the link to the solution I support
Time for govt to lead.
I think these next few months will help show why my #1 fear is China and our national debt. I said during the 2016 election I would vote who whoever I thought would reduce our national debt. We are seeing why that is so important now. We can’t manufacture our own medical equipment, we are in a gross shortage and we have governors asking clothing making to produce masks. On top of that we have China threatening to cut our medicine supply to kill Americans.
In 2020 I’ll vote for whoever can convince me they will reduce our spending and our reliance on China over any other subject.0 -

In 2020 vote, I hope there is something resembling our economy. I've been a fortunate person thus far in life. I have no idea what things will look like in November. Hope it is something similar to February

Hi from Aus. Population 24 million. Covid numbers going up expotentially. No one seems to give a shit and continues on with the mass gatherings and infected cruise ships dispersing and and untested planes bringing in everyone and anyone from overseas walking all over sydney and everywhere else and spreading the deadly disease to the rest of us. Threatened with lockdown like naughty kids for overcrowding beaches cause people don't have any respect or care. It seems our country needs to be told what to do cause of the mass amount of disease spreaders incapable of social distancing and doing the right thing themselves. Government wont shut us down so schools, trains, buses and now just domestic air travel still allowed to continue to crowd with people.. people still happy to go on their planned school holiday trips, weddings and gatherings adamant to go ahead because well not going to ruin our special day attitude... Egotistical maniacs in this country without a care in the world.... Give it a couple of weeks they will all be crying like little sooks because of the death rate!!
I woke up with a sore throat this morning, hopefully just a cold but I'm pissed off cause Covid will kill me and I'm only 41.0 -

I’ve never seen acoustic ceiling tile installed in a parking garage before. never seen it in a spec book issued by an architect. never seen in in architecture plans.

One piece of good news, it seems to be far less deadly the previously stated.I never believed that 3-4% fatality rate. I thought the best number was from South Korea because they tested so many and they had a 0.7%.
I just heard there are over 19,000 confirmed cases with 264 deaths. That’s 0.13%.
Not saying we don’t need to be carefully, just saying it might not have as high of a fatality rate as once thought.
Im also guessing as we continue to test more that number will continue to drop.0
