I love Pearl Jam, but if someone offered me $22,500 for a pair of pit tickets, I'd probably take it (I don't have MSG tickets, so I don't have to worry about the temptation).

I have never seen ticket prices like what's on stub hub MSG. Four digits for anything front of stage 100s AND 200s.

    Not the super bowl

    Not The Stones

    Not The Pope

    Nothing close.

Did the pope do a full album show?

It is but reselling the ticket won’t make a profit. You can’t charge more than face value.

I doubt you'll get much for 2008 tickets 12 years after the show occurred.

This MSG show is the most expensive concert ticket I have ever seen in my life relative to face value.

    2X-3X face is pretty rare.

This is 5X face at the LOW END of the spectrum.

    Absolutely insane.

The AVERAGE SOLD PRICE IS $712.58 SO FAR!

Someone bought 2 seats today for $3,213 EACH BEFORE FEES!

There are at least 10,000 folks in NYC that can drop 4 grand like they're buying a happy meal. I'm sure a couple like Pearl Jam.

When Yankees WS tickets went on sale last fall, the worst seats cost about $600 (face + fees).

I went to a WS game in St. Louis (2011); I think the tickets were $50 each (SRO). $600??!? Yikes.

Folks compaining about not having access to any tickets through StubHub need to check their priviledge.

Being able to afford $400 tickets is a pipe dream for so many fans of this band and it seems like PJ has bargained with the TM behemoth to make attending their shows possible for more folks than ever before by providing a tremendous amount of FV tickets through 10C, avoiding a situation where just those of us who have the luxury to blow thousands on show tickets get them.

I get it. You get to go to less shows and that objectively sucks...for you. But it's a win for this band. A win for folks who do not have that luxury. A win for fair market practice and ethical consumerism. Its funny how this fanbase walks the walk and stands up for what's right until it gets in the way of them getting concert tickets.
It’s certainly an interesting argument.  Lottery vs what you are willing to pay.  I don’t know if there is a right answer here .....
What you are able to pay.

I get that concerts are a luxury product to begin with but its totally against this band and what they stand for to only provide this experience to the highest bidders.
Clearly we have two different views.  Cheers
I get that. I don't respect it. As yours gives precedence to wealthy and priviledged individuals over everyone else. But sure...cheers.
It doesn’t take “wealth or privilege” this isn’t a yacht it takes a little bit of planning. I’ve put $20 into a savings account every paycheck since the last arena tour four years ago for the exact purpose of getting good seats the next time PJ played arenas.

Want to talk about privilege, how about the privilege of paying the same price for nosebleeds with my 10c number as front row sides and never having a chance at good seats in perpetuity just due to when I was born. Sorry I couldn’t have a 10c membership when I was 8 years old in 1998.
I think plenty of people would consider it "privilege" to have your ability to save 20 bucks from every paycheck for a concert.
Jesus. You guys are clearly arguing just to argue at this point. Why don’t you just PM each other and continue

    Yeah bud I feel you.

I am always a 'If there is a will there is a way' when it comes to getting into anything, but this show is now another kinda ballgame.

This has now become a 'Need to be seen there' type event, and when that flag gets flipped in NYC it's game over.

I have people in my office that wouldn't know Eddie Vedder if he tripped over them asking me if I know of anyone with extra tickets to this show, just cause they know I am a fanatic and this show has gone viral.

The best option people will have will be to hang outside the arena and pray someone posts a last second extra at like 8:15 and they are the person that nabs it in the .0005 seconds it's out there before someone else does.

  • Doing the fan-to-fan at face value is the best solution, other states are doing it and you can just as easily get a ticket from a fan to fan site than Stubhub, probably easier as its an instant transfer. The fact that other states can do this, why can't CO and NY!!!

I have never seen ticket prices like what's on stub hub MSG. Four digits for anything front of stage 100s AND 200s.

    Not the super bowl

It will blow your mind what good World Series tickets go for. You can get in the building for a few hundred but the top tickets are 5-digits.
Absolutely. I went once in 2015 priced it as best I could for $750. The going rate was closer to a grand.

Those saying PJ MSG is $400 are way misstating the prices.

Check out this listing. Its row 22 upper and the chase bridge(balcony) will 100% block the entire view if everyone is standing (they will be)

    $2273 + fees = $2840
    Free delivery tho.
