Imagine seeing Pearl Jam in a high school gym.  I was at the 2013 show and that was my impression.  I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Very old, very small venue.  Most likely between 13-14k people.  Think "rustic charm" and edit your expectations accordingly.  LOL

I'm definitely trying to be there since I can drive home & sleep in my own bed that night.  I've seen several shows at Baltimore/1st Mariner/Royal Farms Arena and one thing they have in common is they all sounded amazing!  I'm not quite sure what it is with the acoustics in that building, but shows are loud and clear in there.  It'd be a terrible place to see a basketball or hockey game, but it's honestly one of the best sounding arenas I've been in for shows.  Plenty to do in & around the arena or within a short Uber/Lyft ride.
Be sure to hit up Fell's Point, all kinds of cool shops and restaurants.  I highly recommend Blue Moon Cafe, Waterfront Hotel, & Abbey Burger Bistro (for the soccer hooligans).  Pub Dog on Federal Hill is also a decent stop for pizza & beer, and there's an Abbey Burger there as well.  And for good crabs, skip the overpriced and overhyped Phillip's and head down to LP Steamers in Locust Point. Get the Crab Fluff, trust me on this!  And if you're a record collector, you absolutely have to stop in The Sound Garden in Fell's.  If you're feeling adventurous, head up to Mt. Vernon and check out The Brewer's Art - excellent brewpub/fancy restaurant (they have a basement bar for us common folk).

And if you haven't seen a game at Camden Yards, be sure to do so if you can fit it in your schedule.  I'm not an Orioles fan so there is no bias here, but it is arguably the most beautiful park in baseball.  PNC Park is some legitimate competition for that title; I feel so lucky to live halfway between both!  But seriously, get your asses to an O's game, knock back a few Duckpins (beer), and have a blast!

Baltimore i think is fine despite what some people might say. I had a good time there in '13 and will be there in March. Camden Yards and the aquarium are pretty cool. Arena was ok. It reminded me more of a college basketball arena. Only thing i didn't care for at the show was the security. They were being dicks about recording.

I live in the Baltimore area and have attended many events at the Arena. As mentioned, it's an older building so there's nothing fancy about it. I always say there is no such thing as a bad seat there. It's basically a small square--and no matter where you are, you have a good view of the stage. My only concern as a Ten Club member is ticket availability in such a small venue. I had no problem getting Ten Club tix there in 2013, and hope it goes as smoothly this time around.

Plus: I'm 99% sure that street parking is free downtown on Saturdays.

Its a cool venue.  Definitely get an old barn vibe that is gone with all the new cookie cutter arenas.  Everything is more compact.

I usually hit Fell's Point for food as most of the options near the Arena/Harbor area are commercial chains.  You can walk it (its like a mile or so), but it can get a little sketchy walking thru the Jonestown negihborhood, so I'd recommend Uber/Lyft.  Pratt Street Ale House is right around the corner from the Arena though, and they have decent food but nothing to really write home about.

Koppers Tavern has great pub fare, and $1 oysters in the summer (not sure about March). Max’s Taphouse has a great beer selection. Both in Fells.

Miss Shirley’s is great for brunch, but usually has a crazy wait.

Restaurants are always turning over so also refer to your friendly Yelp app. And avoid anything directly in the harbour.

Make sure you hit up a Royal Farms and get some chicken tenders, home fries, and nacho cheese. One of the things I miss most about living in Baltimore.
