Buttigieg was up 1.8% at the initial release. It was neck and neck then, it's neck and neck now. Some of these Bernie people need to go for a brisk walk or something.
They are insane complainers about the media and fake news.  Where have I seen this before?

They never accept the results of an election unless they win...hmmmm.....

Ah, the old centrist chestnut: everyone who disagrees with me is the same!!
Nope.  Just bernie and trump have a similar method and their supporters also have similar methods.
Like reaching out to minority voters?
Pandering to their base by blaming the ills on a boogeyman?  Yup.

Look - we aren't going to agree on this.  And I'm not saying Bernie is as bad a person as trump.  Just that their campaigns seem to use a similar playbook and cause their supporters to behave in a similar manner (questioning the media, questioning vote results, talking of deep state conspiracies against their candidate, etc).

So, as someone who is not really a democrat by choice, I am very concerned about his nomination.
Can we get Biden to stop pandering to upper-middle-class liberals by pointing to a bogeyman?

Ummm...what a weird question cause I'm talking 1 specific issue.  For comparison, I think you are generally wrong about a lot of things but that doesn't mean you won't be right at some point.
So you are saying these Trump supporters you speak of on 1 specific issue -- this one for example - can be correct then.

They are going to paint Sanders as a socialist. This is not Canada. This is not Europe. They are extremely confident in their strategy

To make it even worse for Democrats, as been pointed out plenty, sanders is not even a Democrat, so he will even lose some votes from his own "party." November is a train wreck waiting to happen.

Trump was an outsider but he was smart enough to know to go all in with what the insiders wanted in order to win

The only way dems win in this country is to have a young charismatic candidate

Did the insiders want him to ask russia for help and to attack ted cruz wife etc?

Also, regarding socialism - here is your young candidates take on that:

Of course I agree with that but you know what it's like here? I'm in one of the bluest states (I wish I can get my phone to autosave that sentence!) And it's pretty bad even by me. Imagine what its like in the swing states. How much Fox News do you watch? Hint, its THE most popular cable channel here.
Isn't this what people said about voting in a black man before Obama?

And when people are all "this is what america want and all they can take" you end up with Gore, Kerry, Hillary.

Have a bit of faith and do the right thing, and:

The huge difference is that demographic IS the democratic base.

Obama got the base out in record numbers for obvious reasons, and left leaning moderates and conservatives with his intelligence and charisma. He is a once in a generation politician.
Well, that rules out Mayo Pete.
True. He definitely is not getting the black vote.
    And why is that?

the recording, reproducing, or broadcasting of moving visual images.

GIFs in 2018 are no longer just a collection of simple images, as they were back in 1995. Often, animated GIFs are clips ripped from TV and movies—basically, video saved in the wrong format. Unlike actual, video formats, GIFs don't use any kind of video encoding or compression techniques.

Well, that rules out Mayo Pete.

Pete is not intelligent nor charismatic? I'm impressed every time I see him interviewed.

The base needs time to warm up to candidates. They want to know you and think you can win. They also need to have their right to vote protected to matter in the general.

     Pete's sweet spot is 2028 to 2040.
I think you are wrong on this. But let me preface by saying that I can not vote in the election.

Hillary was well known and it gave people zero excitement. Didn't Gore and Kerry feel very much "dragged out from the Establishment because they had put enough hours in to get the chancet"

Obama was new and fresh. Bill Clinton, wasn't he an unknown commodity before he melted women's hearts by feeling their pain? George W Bush was ofcourse known, but he came in with a lot of energy, gaffs and lies about McCain having a black child Etc.

I think that will be a problem with Biden - it would be a Hillary situation. Not new. Not fresh. Not that unknown hope of big things a head. People liked him as Obamas dadjoke-friend. Without Obama, he's just "oh wait, one of those politicians". I can't see people being fired up at rallys with him behind the podium, people would come hoping for a good guest artist to show up.

So in that regard, I think Pete winning now is possible because fresh = energy = momentum . And in 2040 is way past his sweetspoint.

    I feel Clinton was similar.

Yes. He was a revered politician until he got a little too frisky at the workplace and his wife got too involved in his line of work.
I would guess in polls he is still very revered. He left office with record high approval numbers, didn't he?
He is also a vegan. So he is on the right side of history in more aspects than loving the sound of a sax.
And the taste of an intern laced cigar!
Is that still considered vegan?  I never know...

Did you see this? This woman at the Iowa caucus was all about Pete until she learned he's married to a man. God bless the campaign staffer for her patience. But it's hard to believe that there are still people that could like someone, then completely change their opinion based on the person's sexuality....

the recording, reproducing, or broadcasting of moving visual images.

GIFs in 2018 are no longer just a collection of simple images, as they were back in 1995. Often, animated GIFs are clips ripped from TV and movies—basically, video saved in the wrong format. Unlike actual, video formats, GIFs don't use any kind of video encoding or compression techniques.

People use the word GIF. Or "GIF image". No one says "video" to describe a GIF or a GIF image.

    Also, it is not "video".

Hence, the "closing the door on the old man" GIF.

Just learn. Adapt. Move forward. Instead of being like my mom calling every video game "the nintendo" and refusing to change.

Do you realize all you do is ask questions?  Why is that?
because he thinks, even on this forum, he's the professor here teaching his students.

So where does that rule of how to act end then? Shouldn't you have used capital letters at places in your sentence like an adult? If discussing a serious topic?

Maybe implement some rules about avatars used on here - an illustrated avatar? adult enough for a serious topic?

    Where would these rules stop?

I dont recall Biden stating he would be strong in either Iowa or NH. Believe the reported speculation was that he was banking on So. Carolina and Super Tuesday

I feel like people say this always backfires. Wasn't that Jeb's plan?

I m wondering if Pete could take surrounding states like Kentucky or Ohio.  Could he even take Indiana or could this be another al gore?

More well known in Indiana for sure. Ohio is possible.  See plenty of 16 Bernie signs and bumper stickers though. Figure he could do well in Louisville, Lexington and Covington. Eastern and Western Ky, I dont think he could pull much support. But you never know. With the right tone in his messaging and listening to voters in those areas I think his rural dominance in Iowa shows he could do well in E and W Ky.

Could you just stick to typing your own thoughts?

I'm thinking of your words the other day in another thread:

    "Are there rules?"
