    How is this update any different than the Autumn 16 update? Sounds like the same thing that was going on 3 years ago. They better get some work in quick, since Ed needs to focus on his main priority, which is Ed. Ohana is in a few weeks, after all.

    I've always liked pearljamonline and appreciate this little timeline they've put together. But Kim Thayil saying Matt has Pearl Jam stuff to work on before he can do Soundgarden stuff, while it gives us reason to be optimistic, it doesn't confirm they're in the studio.

    They announced Lightning Bolt in July 2013 3 months before it was released with hints before hand. No way we get an album out this year and a tour to follow imo with how quiet it is.

    I think most of us have no idea how far along they actually are on the record, but they seem to be doing the traditional release schedule for their stuff (based on the last few records which are both post Radiohead and Beyonce surprise drops), so I'd guess we'll have 3-4 months before it comes out if its done rn. I'm not optimistic for a 2019 release.
