It seems whenever someone does something different than what Meltdown would do, they are a fool.

Meltdown i I would like to thank you for your perfect presence here. If you are here posting, that let’s me know that’s the right thing to do. So I feel good about my choices (some of them) now.

Tesla might adjust prices somewhat.  But they will never be affordable to the masses.  New internal combustion cars are becoming unaffordable.  But where the ICE is a winner is the used market.  Only a fool buys a new vehicle.  But used and let the fool who bought new take the depreciation hit.  The electric car industry relies on government subsidies far to much.  The product should sell itself...
You’re so damn arrogant. It’s only because of the ‘fools’ (ie everyone who buys a new vehicle) that you have used cars to buy, and every industry has customers who want the latest. Typically they’re called early adopters, but if you prefer fools that’s fine (but wrong).
Am I considered a fool if I leased a new car?

Some of you are easily offended on here...lol.
    Me?  Hell no.  Lol

That’s good to know.  From purely financial stand point buying a new car is foolish.  I’ve never leased.  I buy used and let the people who have to the latest take the hit, I don’t to spend 40 grand to have the latest trend.  I am also a Jeep loyalist..no way I can afford new.  Then I drive them until it’s worth less than 500.  Usually 8-12 years and I usually buy 4 year Old low click SUV’s.
My Honda Pilot haD 180,000 miles on it before I traded it in last week for our new Kia telluride.   I got a cool thousand bucks for the Pilot lol.
I m now driving a grand Cherokee, definitely a nice truck but I like other suv s better.
The problem with used cars imo is you are inheriting someone else’s headache however I have gone against my own opinion and bought plenty of used cars.  In fact the telluride was the first new car I have ever owned (even though my wife drives it and not me lol).

'We Got to Start Eating Babies': Ocasio-Cortez Town Hall Hears Bizarre Climate Change Proposal

A town hall event hosted by Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took a turn for the bizarre on October 3 when a woman speaking from the floor urged the eating of babies as a necessary step in the fight against climate change.

“We only have a few months left,” the woman said, continuing: “I love that you support the green deal, but it’s not getting rid of fossil fuel, it’s not going to solve the problem fast enough. A Swedish professor [said] we can eat dead people but that’s not fast enough. So I think your next campaign slogan has to be this: ‘We got to start eating babies!’ We don’t have enough time! There is too much CO2.”

Ocasio-Cortez responded saying, “luckily we have more than a few months.” She said “net zero” CO2 needed to be hit in several years. “We are never beyond hope,” she said. Credit: C-SPAN via Storyful

People loyal to one car company are fools.

And as far as eating babies, hasn't anyone read The Road?

I still think about it every once in awhile when I think about climate change. It is the stuff of nightmares.

Eating all the babies will reduce CO2 emissions from humans.  That is a scientific fact.  No one can argue against this.

I haven't had a car payment in 25 years.  single biggest waste of money people spend money on.

Because you never owned a car or had enough money to buy it outright?
and if there is no interest how is it a waste of money?

Dude.  I really could give a flying fuck what some random dude who I’ve never met cares.  Read some of your own post.  Talk about arrogant.

and yes “a fool and is money is soon departed”

hey...but what do I know about money...

the saying is "soon parted" not "departed".

you must study your sayings from George W Bush.

that is so preposterous. this woman at the town hall was shouting "eat the babies", not "let's harvest the meant of our dead". And as we already know, science is already at the point where growing fake meat in a lab is a reality, so this will never be needed.

I retired at 42, some of the reason why, not wasting money on car payments.
