Last Time A Song Made You Cry ?

November 21, 1997 at Phish's first night of a two night stand in Hampton, VA. Slave to the Traffic Light tore me up and down inside. I had a lot of thoughts running through my head during the jam about personal stuff and wound up shedding a couple of tears when the song reached the climax. I smile deep down inside every time I listen to the tapes of that show but never recreated the monent to the point of crying again.
That was a hell of a night.
As for a Pearl Jam moment where I cried, there were a lot back through high school asmy first experiences of love sculpted my heart. One moment in particular, far after those days though, was the Randall's Island show in NY several years ago. During Alive, right at one of the choruses, a person who was far up in the crowd stood up on someone's hands and threw their arms up in the air. With the white lights shining out over the crowd and the silhouette of the person standing on their friend's hands, it looked just like the stick figure. Nothing sad about it or anything but one of those moments where you kinda got that happy lump in your throat."Each betrayal begins with trust."0 -

My Way -
And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, I’ll say it clear,
I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain.
I’ve lived a life that’s full.
I’ve traveled each and ev’ry highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.
Regrets, I’ve had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.
I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.
Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.
I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried.
I’ve had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.
To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!

The last time a song made me cry was when Pink Floyd were playing Wish You Were Here at live 8, and the camera zoomed out and there were pictures of SYD in the background.
As for pearl jam, when I was reading about the kid that Jeremy was based on, Jeremy came on totally randomly and i just cried.One time I was trying to print a picture of me so I could give it to a friend to cheer him up after he was diagnosed with cancer, but the printer jammed, and my friend died.0 -

I've always liked the song Light Years, but since my grandfather's passing in November, I cannot listen to the song without crying. It just makes me think of what a wonderful man he was and how much I miss him.0

Hey, I'm new here and thought I'd reply to this post. I've always liked the song Light Years, but since my grandfather's passing in November, I cannot listen to the song without crying. It just makes me think of what a wonderful man he was and how much I miss him.

Im gonna say Man of the Hour is a pretty emotional one and along with that i think Chloe Dancer- Crown of Thorns by Mother Love Bone is a pretty emotional one. Oh and Hungerstrike by Temple of the Dog made me shiver with Cornell and Vedder's vocals."Ok... if I smoke a joint Pittsburgh will soon be my favorite place on the planet. Somebody throw up a lighter come on. Ok we got the lighter. And this is a Marlboro Light, what kind of fucker..."

On New Years Eve one time all of my friends and I put on ALive at midnight and screamed it at the top of our lungs while drinking bubbly. Everytime I hear that song it brings a tear to my eye, but a good cry.

Every time I hear MOTH I cry. It is my song for my Dad. He died in January this year, and he was one of those people that was bigger then life. He was fun and well loved by everyone who ever met him. I miss him more each day that he is gone from this earth.
