You likely will because the withholding will change in January.  The real question will be about your deductions and AMT at the end of the year.

Oh look, the #2 obsession of a certain poster here has been active on twitter...  I bet there is a good excuse for all of this though.

Yeah, I know I'm seeing a ton of small business folks that are mourning the loss of deductions.
This would be our first year taking more than the standard deduction so we won't know exactly what we are missing.

But he still loves him some Roy Moore, right? You’ve got to hide behind something. What a clown. Didn’t tweet his support of adding $1,500,000,000,000 to the debt after his years of preaching fiscal responsibility. What a hypocritical douche that a certain poster on here revers like a god, so pure.

Just ran my numbers, $3000 will not be stolen from me annually going forward.

I didn't vote in 2016, but if this winning keeps up I may cast my ballot for Trump 2020.  Is it against 90% of what I believe in?  Yes.  But when I was a Democrat up until 2007 they told us to be one issue voters, and that one issue was the wallet.  I think I will take their advice.

Now the Federal (cough cough) Reserve.  1913.

Basically since that time the dollar has been regularly devalued through mass printing, endless inflation, and reckless spending and bailouts.  All on the backs of the middle class, all to benefit the elite.

It is somewhat odd that this conversation is active on forums such as this given many of you claim to be for the poor and middle class but if I say anything ill of the Fed then I am participating in some vast right wing conspiracy.   The reality is the elites have robbed from all of US for over a century and until somewhat recently they have been unchallenged in their control of the global financial system.  However recently that automatic domination has found a few thorns in its side, most notably by cryptocurrency,  bitcoin being the largest.  If you watch news on btc they will use terms as bubble, describe the craze similar to tulip mania, and say that bitcoin is used to fund terrorism (as if the US Dollar has never done that.)  So I urge all of my fellow PJ fans to do your own research (dyor) dont spread fear, uncertainty and doubt (fud) and never obtain the fear of missing out (fomo).  And if you so desire shoot me any questions on how to get started.

You all can say I am whatever you want, it doesn't really matter to me, but please don't remotely pretend that I endorse the current financial system that robs people every day and places newborns in $55k in debt the minute they take their first breath.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!  I am currently in Nashville enjoying the craft beer scene (not a country music fan although the Johnny Cash museum was cool) and am headed back on the road tomorrow.
First, it's rational to say that children are saddled with debt when they are born, although it's somewhat hyperbolic because none of us know whether those children will actually ever pay that debt.  Considering how seldom the budget gets balanced and we run zero deficit, it's probably just a generation to generation debt load being passed.  It's curious how you would be okay with your extra $3k while the deficit will balloon by a trillion plus.  How do you square being against one side of he equation but not the other?

It's less rational to say that "until somewhat recently the elites have been unchallenged".  You're a fool if you think Trump isn't the ultra elite couching his language like a drunken mill worker.  Do you think cutting corporate tax rates by 14 points while marginally cutting middle class taxes will somehow wrestle control away from the elites?  I certainly hope you're not that naive.

Lastly, it's highly irrational and hyperbolic to say that children are worse off today than in 1913 (and prior) because of Fed reserve.  Were you taught in college to use one data point (in this case, debt load) to draw sweeping conclusions?  I think we proved in about ten different ways how children are better off today than 100 years ago.  If you think that debt is overriding factor of "better off" vs health and mortality, then you've lost your damn mind.

    Good chat.

Next time don't waste my time.  Learn to have a discussion without the name calling.  I'll play along then.  You don't have to respect my views, but I'm not participating if you actively disrespect me.  I didn't do that to you.

Newborns are given SS numbers so the US can claim them as loan collateral.  This isn't a debate of left vs right.  The Trump obsession makes no sense here.

    Have a good one.

I didn't call you any names.  Note the conditionals in my sentence.  "You're a fool if.." If you don't think these things, you're not a fool.  I'm not trying to hurt your feelings, but I'll be more sensitive about it in the future.    And there's no Trump obsession, but he signed the tax bill.  He pushed for it and advocated for it.  When you're the president, it's yours.  You own everything, good or bad.

The control portion was based on the emergence on the decentralized crypto market of which, yes, challenges the status quo more than nearly anything ever has.

No, I don't think Trump is a savior.

I do not favor expanding the debt.  Never have.  I do favor keeping more of MY money though.  It is still all kicking the can, business as usual.

Really though I'd cut from everything, nothing would escape.  That would really cause those hurt feelings.

If cuts happened at the level you want, how do you think you’d be affected directly?

When your views are "I have mine, screw everyone else in society who helped me get there", neither you nor your philosophy warrants any modicum of respect.  Respect is earned, not given.

Perhaps if you were the type of person who was willing to carry their share of societal burden to make this world a better place, you would garner a little more respect around here.  Don't be so surprised when you get a rolled up newspaper across the snout instead.
