Crapton of beer, pool time, sun, and burgers/dogs/onions/corn/zucchini....the norm.
    Good stuff.
I just contributed a song to the patriotic sing a long.  It was called This Land Is My Land and it was sung from the perspective of our massively obese presidont

She looks a bit like Ani DiFranco there (a good thing).

Wow. What a view. Your seafood Sunday looks amazing as well. I made a skirt steak fajita with sautéed peppers and onions, some romaine, salsa Fresca, and sour cream. Corn was oven roasted. But my view was the TV.

  • Color on the corn looks nice!

    Cliffy, enjoy OBX!

Tonight’s offering was my first stab at southern-fried chicken served with mashed potatoes, carrots in dill and chicken gravy.

Tbh, it could have gone better.  My oil was a little too hot.  It was tasty, but definitely could have been better.  Lesson learned for next time.  The recipe I used was awesome.  Will add more sriracha and maybe some ancho chipotle to the mix next time.

Looks good.  You can't expect grandma results right out of the gate.  :)
I purposely have not gone on a fried chicken cooking kick.  I know how I feel about good fried chicken and getting good at it myself is not healthy.  ;)
I'll settle for loving the good stuff make by others.

Thanks. I appreciate it. But you can hardly compare my little fajita and corn cob to that festival of seafood delights on the beach that Cliffy and family presented. That looks absolutely glorious.

Chicken looks great (though I am not a fan of dark meat). But your sides are always on point. Whenever you post a photo it reminds me that I need to up my sides game. Those potatoes and carrots look heavenly.

It's too bad you didn't live in Ireland during the potato famine. You could have pointed out to those suffering folks that they live on an island that is surrounded by all sorts of delicious seafood.

^^^ lol  bad doggie!.  That lunch looks very regimented.  Like little soldiers lined up for consumption.  Quite artistic.

Very organized. Once in a blue moon I get a craving for Kraft Mac and Cheese. My mom used to put it so much milk and butter. Creamy goodness.

Lunch - Tuna salad with avocado and romaine on a whole wheat tortilla. I mixed in some leftover salsa. Side of blueberries, almonds, pistachios and a mandarin orange. Before you think I am too healthy- I washed it down with an icy cold Diet Coke.
