(Sorry if my previous post seemed insensitive.)

I guess NY had decided to take 2017 off from touring already...had cancelled a Bluefest appearance a few months ago:

Back in December Jam Base reported he would be taking the whole year off of 2017.

Well I love Dave so I'm kinda excited about hearing what he has to say...

Yeah, I am sure Letterman will be great, though I was really looking forward to the whole Neil Young and Pearl Jam thing...

I sort of like this news. David Letterman has been a very important person through my entire life, well since the morning show, anyway.

Hope uncle Neil is okay. Sucks he won't be able to induct the band.

Not popular? Dave Letterman is an awesome last minute replacement. The band and Dave have showed each other lots of love over the years.

i wouldn't be surprised if they still played it, or tagged it in some way, and sent it out to him.

Dave Letterman - "If I had this man's voice you could all kiss my ass." Mumbling the last word.

Hope Neil is OK. Letterman makes for an interesting replacement who I would not have thought of. Bet he does a great job.

David Letterman is a angry jerk. Don't really have any interest in what DL has to say about Pearl Jam. If he wants to talk about being a terrible boss and perv than go for it.

    are you a disgruntled employee?
Ha. No. I used to love David Letterman but then you read about what he was like off the screen and not so much.

I doubt they play anything other than PJ songs at their own induction ceremony with or without Neil...

total bummer. Love Dave, but admit I was excited about the collaboration on stage. Ideally would have love to have seen another musician - there are plenty that hold PJ in high regard. Hope Neil is okay - you know he wouldn't miss it unless he was really down.
    A lifer.

Tremendously disappointed about Neil and hope he's ok.

Letterman is a weird choice I guess although the band always loved him and he's a huge music fan.

I'm sure it will be awesome
