I don't even want to imagine how big a fucking douchebag someone would have to be to walk around with this on, lol.

I can't get over what a piece of shit tRump is.  Just a disgusting human being.  How anyone can support this piece of shit blows my mind.

I'm really quite bummed that we finally got a "business person" who was not a career politician in a high office and this is the one we chose.  He is not a true business person (Daddy's $ and no board or shareholders to hold him accountable) and he is slimier and more of a liar than the career politicians...which is really hard to do.
Yeah and a businessperson isn't anything special.  They aren't any better at politics than anyone else.  The Exxon guy was a total dud.
Not all of them. But there are lots of very intelligent great leaders in industry. It would be refreshing to see that, the best versions of that, playing out in our government where it fits. The biggest difference in my mind is it doesn’t appear that government (congress especially) has any sense of urgency. They never really have deadlines. This could be better.

But my biggest annoyance is many will think business people are all just like trump. They aren’t...not at all.
Nor is “government” like “business.” Two completely different animals. Being successful in one does not, and rarely does, translate into success in the other.
I hear this often. I tend to disagree as leadership translates.

Oh and this doesn’t actually address my point. My point wasn’t that all business people are better than politicians. Just that I’m pissed that this fake business person may have ruined it for others who could actually do a good job.

I would agree that leadership skills are transferable. Two issues in the particular case of Agent Orange: 1) He knows nothing -- nothing at all -- about our laws, our Constitution, and how government works. A good business leader could be a good president, assuming they had bothered to learn anything about the government and how it works. This guy couldn't be bothered. 2) He's not a good leader. My husband has, over the course of his career, received a lot of leadership training. Agent Orange's management style, such as it is, is the antithesis of what is being taught. Rather, he is an example of a toxic leader.

So I think I'm agreeing with you. A good business leader could be a good president. What we have now is neither.

I didn’t say government should run like a business. Sheesh people read whatever they want to into stuff.
I know.  It just sort of reminded me of the common slogan “government should run like a business.”   So I kinda addressed your point but also went beyond.  There is a connection, though, in that I happen to think accomplished businesspeople are as likely to be awful as accomplished career politicians.

Instilling confidence every step of the way. It’ll take Team Trump Treason a week, maybe two, to read it. But he’s holding out hope for pictures, lots and lots of pictures.

A good leader in a field outside of politics can make a good president. A good leader in business would have a harder time being a good president because a lot doesn’t carry over into government.

At least the economy is booming.  People will credit Obama but if it was in the toilet the same people would credit Trump.  As much insane atypical decisions that Trump has made in the past several years you can’t say his approach is anywhere near hands off in regards to the economy.  Pure luck?

They had to cut taxes and deregulate in order to keep the same straight line economic growth that started under Obama. The negative outcomes from those will be significant.

And don’t forget the deficit. And the $1.5 trillion tax cut that disproportionately went to the top 1%. Smoke and mirrors.

Still, we are heading into a midterm election and supermarkets are offering starting cashiers jobs that pay double the state minimum wage and still can’t find a workforce because the job market is so competitive.   Oddly enough this doesn’t get brought up in the news.  But I guess stability doesn’t get the page views that a piece of toilet paper stuck on a shoe can generate

Wage increases get brought up in the news and so do the increase in the cost of goods and services which nearly negate those wage increases. It’s not translating when you look at the whole picture.

And the rise in interest rates for mortgages and credit debt and it really doesn’t register. Hey but my health insurance is only going up 5% in January so there’s that.

I'm hearing a lot about the job market. I'm also hearing that wages are not keeping up with inflation, so buying power has not improved.

    Well of course not.

Who the f**k takes a big poop, gets toilet paper stuck on his shoe, and then proceeds to act like a really big deal in front of the world?

It's so symbolic that details- the big and small variety- mean nothing to this boob.

He's a bonafide moron. Don't trip over yourself trying to give him some credit. He rode Obama's wave in. Trying to give Trump credit for the current economy is like blaming the vehicle stopped directly in front of you for blocks of gridlock.

    Why?

    https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-immigration-crackdown-federal-agency-budgets_us_5bbd37c9e4b0876edaa336db
The expected cost: $750 per night, per bed. For about the same price, the federal government could pay for a deluxe hotel room — with a view of Central Park — at Trump’s Manhattan hotel. For every month that the Trump administration locks up a single undocumented minor in the Texas desert, it pays more than the annual cost of putting a student through state college, complete with room and board.

I've never seen anyone so brainwashed by a president. They treat these stupid rallies like a concert. What the hell is wrong with people? Did weird shit like this happen for any other president? Oh wait, nevermind, no other president has ever held rallies for themselves while in office outside of during the year of re-election.
    It's a hopeless situation...
