BS is a good reminder how dangerous, and ridiculous, the neocon mentality is...

USA cooperation and leadership, not isolation, has been a major driving force stabilizing the post WW2 world.... Trump has done nothing but destroy that stability and global cooperation, and you think that's making it safer? LOL
Stabilization is a myth. I understand 9/11 was over 16 years ago but I'm sure you must have some memory of it happening?
The greatest period of world stability in the history of humankind and “stability is a myth.”
    LOL.
It's a blip in time. An anomaly. This is not man's natural state. Man's natural state looks more like Venezuela. A country whose regime you most likely applauded. Under your ideal form of government we would all be like them.
Just because we have to be on the verge of armageddon for your belief system to be valid, doesn’t mean we actually are.
Weird....I thought we were finally on the same page with respect to Russia.

I remember 9/11 quite well... I also remember the disastrous response by my Neocon led government at the time... bunch of sick fucking war criminals invading innocent nations based on lies, using fear and security warnings as political weapons against the people of my country, authorizing torture, black rendition sights, and generally helping destroy the reputation and standing of my nation in the world's eyes... bunch of scumbags, the full lot of them, and I hope they all burn in hell just like the 20 scumbags with boxcutters

I'm from Ireland, so have been watching this whole spectacle from the sidelines for the last couple of years. Honestly I have no sympathy for the United States of America, because the whole system seems to be completely broken. The people who decided that they weren't going to vote are to blame. Apologies if anyone takes offence to that, however, it's easy to be happy from a safe country like Ireland.

Valid point. If we had 80% voter turnout, there would hardly be any Republicans in office.

Not at all, I just got triggered for a second, Dick Cheney does that to me lol :)

By every metric imagineable the world is currently in its safest, healthiest, wealthiest, most educated, and generally most stable era in recorded history... and improving... (mostly due to global cooperation and partnerships, not isolation)... althoigh i would argue that stability has regressed since a child clown became POTUS last year.. so I honestly didn't think it was worthy of the time it takes to bang out on my phone my good friend lol

    Tough times up in Ontario?

I actually 100% support mandatory voting like Australia has. I wish Canada would adopt it. I don't give a rat's ass about everyone whining about how it violates their freedom of choice. Democracy doesn't work when only half the people vote. The freedom to not vote is the most worthless freedom ever, and it harms us all, which justifies mandatory voting.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata

They announced him as he walked on the field whiled announcing the national anthem.  The Redneck crowd cheered I believe.  I am listening on laptop speakers on a crappy interent stream so maybe I am wrong.

If the game was anywhere else but the south between two backwards states, no way does he go to the game.  His ego coudln't take it.

    Gulp.

This is what I know given everything I have read directly from the shithead's Twitter account: Throughout his presidency, Trump has also appeared all over the map on North Korea, alternating between relishing the opportunity to negotiate with the country's leader, Kim Jong Un, and taunting him about the size and power of his nuclear arsenal.

Trump is a f**king idiot. He's a barstool president. He's the actual manifestation of the tuff-talking loudmouths that think they have the answer to all the world's problems... when they really have no clue. The kind of guy that yells over people- spitting on them in the process- while he's got mustard on his shirt.

He's flying by the seat of his pants.

F**k's sakes. Nice work, USA. Great leader you elected.

Think of those two 'getting after it' at McRonchys.

Both trying to be the better man: double fisting Big Macs with nuggets. Tossing in fries periodically. Not even pausing  to slam back a Filet o Fish every now and then.

PJ_Soul, my concern about that is taking the people who typically care not about their country enough to vote, and might come armed at the voting booth with misinformation (or not enough information) to the point where they aren’t the ones you want participating in democracy. Any idea how Australia addressed that? Seems we have too many people casting ballots from places of ignorance or misinformation as it is.
