Impressive.. The Republicans control three parts of gov't and need to break the filibuster to push through a moderate.

Nice job with the Chinese. I think he declared China a currency manipulator and totally got in his face. That's what happened, right? Just like he said he would do? Another victory or has Trump been mugged by realPolitik?
I guess that will depend on how China's policy changes with respect to North Korea. Slow down on your declaration of victories/losses. Gorsuch is a victory. On much else it is too soon to tell.
Trade was Trump's calling card on China, not N. Korea. In fact, he wanted to pull back from supporting Japan in the region. So it's all very curious.
    Oh...is it very curious?

Trump is learning on the job. He is being confronted with national security issues for the very first time in his life and is dealing with them so far in a proper way. The issue of most immediate importance is North Korea and this is an instance where early tough talk on China can be traded for a change in Chinese policy. Trade is important and you might want to remember that he already ended TPP. Further issues on trade and currency can take a back seat to North Korea at the moment.

I'm comparing campaign promises to reality. His tune has changed mightily.. like I said, RealPolitik. But here's the other real thing that is going to slap us in the face after he is gone. Pulling out of TPP was an enormous mistake if you want to balance the trade. I hope you understand this because if you don't, then you clearly haven't studied either TPP or the its competing RCEP. We managed to exclude China from TPP but they are influential in RCEP. We essentially ceded the economic power in that region to China by pulling back.

Fucking stupid. Beyond stupid. Ignorant. Short sighted. Juvenile. Trump caved to the ignorant Nationalists who think we are going to start making tennis shoes in the US any day now.
I don't support him on TPP. Never have. Just saying that on trade it was a promise kept.
    Fair enough..
And this says China is sending 150,000 troops to the North Korean border

To protect N. Korea... not in support of US forces.
Or to prevent an influx of refugees.
You think China greenlighted a N. Korean invasion? You're on crack.

  • It's not all that bad having Ivanka Trump having a big sway on the actions of President Trump.
Donald Trump’s daughter persuaded him to strike targets in Syria, according to reports of a diplomatic memo.
After the missile strike, Ms Trump wrote on Twitter: “The times we are living in call for difficult decisions. Proud of my father for refusing to accept these horrendous crimes against humanity.”

Because they think this is false news. And would you expect anything else from a bunch of bigots, assholes, and low IQ individuals? No.

Nothing about this presidency, or the support for it should surprise anyone. We knew a couple of things as fact when this guy got elected. 1. 50% of supporters were racists or blind enablers. 2. 50% of supporters you wouldn't hire to wash your car.

Days at a golf course during the first 81 days as president:
    Donald J. Trump: 17
    Barack Obama: 0
    George W. Bush: 0
    President Bill Clinton: 3

Because they think this is false news. And would you expect anything else from a bunch of bigots, assholes, and low IQ individuals? No.

Nothing about this presidency, or the support for it should surprise anyone. We knew a couple of things as fact when this guy got elected. 1. 50% of supporters were racists or blind enablers. 2. 50% of supporters you wouldn't hire to wash your car.
I would hire Ivanka to wash my car.
    Especially in a....wait, nevermind.

This is called delegation of work to a tee.
Yeah, it is. He's delegating all his responsibilities to a golf tee.

I've encountered them in the wild and this is accurate 99.9% of the time. It's ridiculous.

    Nepotism shouldn't be tolerated.

I don't doubt nepotism is a "beautiful thing" when you're the beneficiary and your grandpa paved a path of riches for you.

Talk about being out of touch.
