Harris doesn't have a hope in hell of winning the presidency at this point. probably not any point. she is too widely disliked.
I always thought it was a bad idea to pick one of the least favored candidates as the running mate.  I understand the historical and social implications of the pick, but you would think one of the more popular candidates would be a more galvanizing pick to go forward with.
Most votes in the history of the country. Yeah, what the hell were they thinking? lol
I don't think the VP choice has that much of an effect on who you vote for as Prez (Sarah Palin the exception), but as Prez, I think Trump trounces her.
He's the one who brought it up. Choosing her as his running mate wasn't really about 2024. It was about 2020. I remember people saying she would hurt his chances last year but they got 81 million votes. lol. I think it's safe to say it was a good pick.

Also worth noting her approval numbers are actually higher than Biden's right now too.

do you believe that the 81 million votes had anything to do with her?
I'd venture 80.696,969 were votes against Trump. The rest were for Biden and/or Harris.

If Biden doesn't run in 2024 we will need a new face.  I'm thinking Gavin Newsom. The GOP tried to damage him with the recall and failed miserably.

I was ok with Harris as Biden's pick but I don't see her in the Oval Office.

I know the recall failed, but is that really an indicator that he was popular enough for federal? or was that just a rejection of who was on the ballot in california to replace him?

Not sure but I think 2024 is his time. I have a feeling that Biden will step aside.

That was due largely to the unpopularity of the other guy. If you want to live in a fantasy land where we see that kind of turnout without POOTWH as the other option that is you prerogative. I can't imagine a universe in which two otherwise middle of the road candidates see that kind of turnout without going against a big bad like trump. No one can tell me with a straight face that the BIDEN/HARRIS ticket was more popular than OBAMA/BIDEN.  There isn't really the same kind of energy propelling Kamala and Joe.
Obama was a generational talent,  like Kennedy.  We have to be careful we don't use that as our bar.
Seems like trump lowered the bar so far we may never get it that high again.

Might be true.  Time will tell.  Obama was great in so many ways, not perfect though.  He didn't work the Hill effectively as an example.  But for me, I don't expect another Obama in my lifetime.  I'll settle for competent, sane and normal.

I was going to blank the presidential on my ballot until the fossil chose Kamala as his running mate. Most of the other options being bandied about would not have gotten me to check that box.

So I voted for Kamala. There’s one vote.

Donald Trump now betting favorite to win 2024 presidential election | Las Vegas Review-Journal (reviewjournal.com)

Wagering on the election isn’t permitted at U.S. sportsbooks.
At offshore books that operate illegally in the U.S., Trump is the +275 favorite over Biden (+325) and Harris (5-1) at BetOnline and the 3-1 favorite over Biden (+325) and Harris (5-1) at SportsBetting.ag.
I can't comprehend the thought of betting on 2024's results in 2021, given any predictions on the 2020 election were moot by the time CoVID changed the game. So much can happen in three years.

Yeah, the right will be pissed off more because the long effects of Covid will still be around and when they ask "are you better off 4 years later?" if that answer is No then expect a ton of votes to come his way.

I got the flu in January....thought it was covid at first but I tested negative and it only lasted 36 hours

I was sick as hell and wish I would have gotten the flu shot.

Yeah no shit.  If you've had the flu, you understand why the flu shot is a good idea.  It figgin' sucks, sucks, sucks.  You can't sleep at all.  Can't move, everything hurts.  I gladly get the flu shot every year and if they ahve a double shot with COVID, I'm 100% down with that.

I got the flu in January....thought it was covid at first but I tested negative and it only lasted 36 hours

I was sick as hell and wish I would have gotten the flu shot.

All of you saying you won't get a covid booster will change your mind at some point.
I will continue to get the flu shot and covid boosters as they come out. I've seen this shit first hand and it is absolutely horrible.
    I LOVE MUSIC.
