Can we discuss the fact that Trump has been accused of sexual harassment by 22 women throughout his campaign and presidency and now he has been accused of rape by a comic writer. She is very credible, has people she told of the encounter at the time and has the outfit she wore on the day of the 'alleged' rape which she has never touched until she wore it for the cover of Time, I believe ( I could be wrong about the magazine).
My point is - why do we discuss Franken's behavior for weeks and weeks until he is forced (in his mind) to resign from Congress.
Why do we discuss people feeling 'uncomfortable' when Biden touches their shoulder or smells their hair or gets up close and personal with them, all in a way which is consistent with Biden being a very compassionate touchy person throughout his life, but has never been accused of harassment or assault throughout his career. He is just a very hands on person. He was made fun of on here and called creepy and weird. This was discussed ad nauseum in the press with slow motion videos and he had to come out with a 'I understand personal space' comment.
But the President of the United States has stated on video and audio on Access Hollywood and even worse admissions on the Howard Stern show that he is famous and can do whatever he wants to women. The way that he has spoken in the past mirrors the accusations of assaults that have been levied upon him.
Where is the coverage of the fact that the President could very likely be a serial molester and rapist? His first ex-wife, Ivanka, accused him of rape in their divorce and she only took back those words because of money settlements.

I've made this rant before! I seriously have no clue why, but the sexual assault accusations against Trump seem to be what roll of him the most easily. That has been the case ever since the first accusation. Even his own ex-wife accused him of raping her, and nobody, even the opposition, really batted an eye. Meanwhile, he seriously couldn't act more like a sexual predator if he tried - with all those accusations, paired with his own behaviour, and OH YEAH, him admitting it on tape - and still.... it never goes anywhere, and nobody seems willing to push the matter. It's completely vexing. On Pod Save America from yesterday they were making this exact same point - one of them mentioned how shameful it is that the allegation is being referred to as “sexual assault” instead of “rape” (showing the way they sanitize facts when it comes to Trump), and the fact that it isn’t on the front page of every newspaper. I agree on both fronts. It’s the bed of nails approach that’s served Trump very well for many years - standing on a nail (or a person doing one horrific thing) is bound to hurt, yet standing on 200 nails a quarter-inch apart (or doing terrible things over and over again) and a person can almost stop noticing. He appeared on the Howard Stern show many times over the years before he was President and talked about being able to have sex with Princess Diana and wanting to date his daughter because she is so hot and many many more really degrading things. He even talked about Princess Diana's beautiful skin in a creepy way after she died.
Okay - if I am to say that it is really creepy for Biden to touch someone's shoulders - fine. Does that deserve the attention it got compared to the attention that Trump raping a woman in a department store dressing room. They are not even comparable.0 -
