Anyway he was talking about how Capitol Police are not a fighting force. It was a comparison to say the type of cops who man a court house at city hall. It was a nice way of saying "kind of old and out of shape". And if you look at the footage inside the building, that definitely appears to be the case. They look middle age and round.

I dont know where we go from here. These throngs of people arent going away. Will they be able to organize and perform seditious acts? I think so. i fear that sometime soon, we will see a governor's mansion or statehouse rushed by one of these armed militias and we will see some real bloodshed on national Television. Trump's voice will certainly be diminished in 2 weeks time when he doesn't hold the office of the POTUS. He will also lose the limitless resources he has enjoyed. Judging by all the weirdos yesterday sporting Trump apparel, there seems to be a good fundraising opportunity open to him. Rallies will be fewer and far between though, and his voice will be harder to find.
What we need is the Republicans who hold office, as well as those with self respect for themselves and respect for the USA to denounce and distance themselves from this mob of turds. It will create a civil war within their party, and likely another party would form. But it would also put an end of this current path and the mainstreaming of dangerous fantasy conspiracy theories built on demonization which will destroy the country. The next trump, whether him, one of his kids, or someone who is younger, slimmer, and speaks better will be here in 2024 and we will no longer be a democracy.

I saw trump speak and I was certain these people were going to go down there and storm the Capital building. It was clear.
Federally, I wonder how negligent the Trump administration is for not providing the resources to protect the capital building to begin with... and furthermore, having a plan in place to protect it. Also, it seems pretty clear that Trump slow-played bringing in federal help because they wanted this occupation so they could delay this affirmation. Giuliani's voice mail to not-Tuberville proves they were desperate to hold up this process.
