Sad, but true. I always know you've been by when the posts double by the hour. Either that or a lot of cut and pasting from those secret Halifax dossiers.BS44325 said:

What in the world does this have to do with your argument that Comey and the FBI were trying a coup to unseat a duly elected president? It didn't address that at all. Worse, its criticism of the media included instances when the FBI (namely Comey) disputed public reporting, further weakening your case.BS44325 said:

As for Taibbi, it's fascinating that he uses countless examples from the past to support his argument that things are super terrible now. When all he had to do was count the number of media sources that existed from the beginning of time and compare them to the internet age (post WMD) and it will seem pretty obvious how the same errors are happening as before, only that there are so many more sources.
No offense, but you wasted my time with that article.0 -

Are you joking? Did you completely ignore the part where Comey briefed Trump on the Dossier which just magically gave CNN followed by Buzzfeed the opportunity to report on it? Of course you did. Did you ignore the FISA on Carter Page which Comey signed off on? Of course you did. To quote Tiabbi himself “Stop. Just stop...you’re making it worse”.mrussel1 said:

You're applying intent where it doesn't actually exist and therefore making the same mistakes that Tabbi and You are criticizing others for doing. You don't see the irony in that? Further, you don't see the irony that you and others are now using the Mueller report to vindicate no collusion, when Mueller was the former FBI director, career Deep State and Comey's "best friend" (according to Trump). If this was all some grand conspiracy that everyone is so desperate to cover, then why is the report (which no one has seen, we only 'believe' there are no further indictments) going to vindicate Trump? There is a circular madness in that logic.BS44325 said:

I mean are you so myopic that you are misunderstanding that his point is a critique of the media, and yet you're trying to use the piece as evidence if a completely different point? Your argument is in the same universe as Obama is a Kenyan Muslim who worships at a radical Christian church, Vince Foster was murdered and Hillary personally sold all of our uranium to the Soviets. I understand his point completely. As he critiques the media he outlines how they blindly accepted bullshit fed to them by the intelligence community. This includes being played by Comey in the intial reporting of the dossier. Quit skipping over this part. You are now doing it intentionally and it is not a good look. I am not with the crazies. I am with the fact that there was an organized effort to take down a president you hate. You refuse to see what is plainly before your eyes. It is too painful to look.mrussel1 said:I mean are you so myopic that you are misunderstanding that his point is a critique of the media, and yet you're trying to use the piece as evidence if a completely different point? You mean how the media did it with Iraq, Vietnam, Watergate and lots of other examples. But sure, it was the Comey and the deep state exacting a coup. Good thing the Deep State Mueller saved the country from the Deep State.BS44325 said:

There was an assumption that Trump’s support would collapse during two years of investigation. It did not. There was an assumption that the GOP would lose the Senate under the weight of investigations. It did not. There was an assumption that those charge with process crimes would reveal bigger crimes. They did not. There was an assumption that high crimes and misdemeanors would eventually be found. They were not. The Deep State tried but failed. Mueller did what he could but at the end of the day he isn’t following everybody else off the cliff. What’s it like down there by the way?mrussel1 said:

And no one expected to win the Senate. Pelosi and leadership never assumed high crimes. You're literally just making shit up, or listening to the extreme voices of the left and assuming everyone thought the same. So let me give you some other anecdotal information from someone who actually lives in the US and talks to Americans in person, every day, in a moderate state. No one talks about Mueller or Russia.., but people laugh every day about the dumb shit the president does, or gets mortified about it. Opinions are locked in.0 -
Guys... start focusing on the important stuff.
I was watching the greasy orange one on the tube the other night as I winded down for the evening in a hotel room. His side wisps were glued to the side of his head. Those strands of crusty hair were going nowhere- just absolutely locked in place. Lookin' good! Now I know why all those gorgeous girls wanna get with him.
Why do I bring this up?
If McDonald wants his wall... he should sign a sponsorship with Brylcreem. Let's get serious. He's a walking billboard in the most visible occupation in the world. Throw in a Depends and Viagra sponsorship... and that wall gets built. If they're a little short... they can run a pay for view Trump vs. Obama in the octagon. McConnell and Michelle Obama can be on the card as a prelim.
F**k why do I have to generate these ideas for you guys? Geezuz man.
"My brain's a good brain!"0 -
Still doesn’t explain away all of the Team Trump Treason campaign/Administration contacts with Russians, why the Team Trump Treason Tower meeting took place and why the very stable genius wrote a memo saying it was about adoptions, why Pauley Manafort shared polling data with Russians, why Team Trump Treason openly stated, “Russia, if you’re listening,” nor Team Trump Treason’s lying about “no business ties in Russia,” or “I don’t know any Russians,” and most importantly, why everyone involved lied about it. Repeatedly. And I guess you and Matt have read Team Mueller’s report as well?BS44325 said:

If there was “an organized effort to take down Team Trump Treason (full disclosure, I hate him),” then the Steele Dossier would have been made fully available before the election by Hillary or Obama and Comey would have publically announced that Team Trump Treason and his campaign were under FBI investigation in summer 2016 and McCain could have passed the Steele Dossier around in September rather than December. But you know, facts. 3,2,1 cue “the insurance policy.”BS44325 said:
Your argument is in the same universe as Obama is a Kenyan Muslim who worships at a radical Christian church, Vince Foster was murdered and Hillary personally sold all of our uranium to the Soviets. That's where you're sitting right now, with those crazies.09/15/1998 & 09/16/1998, Mansfield, MA; 08/29/00 08/30/00, Mansfield, MA; 07/02/03, 07/03/03, Mansfield, MA; 09/28/04, 09/29/04, Boston, MA; 09/22/05, Halifax, NS; 05/24/06, 05/25/06, Boston, MA; 07/22/06, 07/23/06, Gorge, WA; 06/27/2008, Hartford; 06/28/08, 06/30/08, Mansfield; 08/18/2009, O2, London, UK; 10/30/09, 10/31/09, Philadelphia, PA; 05/15/10, Hartford, CT; 05/17/10, Boston, MA; 05/20/10, 05/21/10, NY, NY; 06/22/10, Dublin, IRE; 06/23/10, Northern Ireland; 09/03/11, 09/04/11, Alpine Valley, WI; 09/11/11, 09/12/11, Toronto, Ont; 09/14/11, Ottawa, Ont; 09/15/11, Hamilton, Ont; 07/02/2012, Prague, Czech Republic; 07/04/2012 & 07/05/2012, Berlin, Germany; 07/07/2012, Stockholm, Sweden; 09/30/2012, Missoula, MT; 07/16/2013, London, Ont; 07/19/2013, Chicago, IL; 10/15/2013 & 10/16/2013, Worcester, MA; 10/21/2013 & 10/22/2013, Philadelphia, PA; 10/25/2013, Hartford, CT; 11/29/2013, Portland, OR; 11/30/2013, Spokane, WA; 12/04/2013, Vancouver, BC; 12/06/2013, Seattle, WA; 10/03/2014, St. Louis.
