    It won't get through the courts.  Truman tried to extend emergency powers during the Korean war to nationalize the steel industry and he lost.

    I know it won't get through the courts, but I actually thought that maybe he wouldn't literally try at the end of the day. So.... obviously whoever was supposedly keeping him in check in the White House checked OUT after "anonymous" wrote that letter to the NYT, lol.

    I posted earlier that I think this is his only way out of the box.  He's fighting for his political survival.  If he declares the emergency and signs a continuing resolution to open the gov't, then he can let the issue wind through the courts.  It will lose and then he has a new grievance to exploit with the court.

    So, my husband's devout Republican aunt in Columbus, Ohio just put something up on facebook in the last 24 hours or so.  Its a picture of Jesus's spirit over Trump's shoulder at his desk in the oval office suggesting that we should be praying for the President instead of berating him...something along those lines.   I think this has been much of the religious approach these last couple years.  I'm pretty sure that man is beyond repair at this point.  I pray and hope that his base finally turns on him and that all the truth from the investigation will finally take him down.  Why can't they just accept that Trump is a horrible man, horrible role model for our children, kick him out and have Pence finish out this term?  What is so difficult about that?  Why are they fighting tooth and nail for such a despicable con man?

    Rush Limbaugh and Hannity are a big part of this problem.  Some of these brainwashed people only trust them.  I think it was Hardball the other day that said these people need to quit feeding lies and quit standing up for Trump.
