In all honesty... this incident might be the most troubling of all for a number of reasons.
Both sides are very mindful of optics and political props
however, I think had HRC won, and there was a MAGA hat behind her, she may have brought it to the attention of everyone and said something like "all viewpoints are welcome at my speaches/rallies".
