That's the sneaky thing about windmill noise cancer. You don't hear the noise until it is too late. Then...cancer. Thank gods that The Donald is looking out for us.

    Lol

Honestly... I saw some tweet mocking him for what he said about the windmills and... no shit... I thought it was some sort of an 'onion-like' tweet. I (swear to gawd) though there was no way he said something that stupid.

I'll never give him the benefit of the doubt again.

 Yeah, the guy is completely off his rocker. I really do think he's at the beginning stages of some sort of dementia. If so, I'll feel badly for the things I think and say about him. But until I hear an official diagnosis, I'll continue to mock that idiot.

How many clues does this man need to throw at us before we as a country get the hint?  It's like he's screaming, "I'M NOT QUALIFIED NOR COMPETENT TO HOLD THIS JOB!".  But of course he can't really say that.

Well, if we as a nation are not competent to get the message, then I guess we get what we deserve- at the ever increasing frustration of the rest of us.

    Windmill?  No, windbag.

Oh Stephen Moore, who would have ever guessed that you were a deadbeat POS.  You were never qualified to be on the Fed, but now we know you are fundamentally a bad person too..https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2019/04/06/trumps-fed-nominee-stephen-moore-was-found-contempt-court-failing-pay-ex-wife-more-than/?utm_term=.30d3bf90ac6e

Stephen Moore, President Trump’s planned nominee for the Federal Reserve Board, was found in contempt of court in 2013 for failing to pay his ex-wife more than $330,000 in alimony and child support, court documents show.

A court in Fairfax County, Va., ordered Stephen Moore to sell his home in order to pay his ex-wife, Allison Moore, the money he legally owed her but had failed to pay for months. Stephen Moore ended up paying $217,000, although only after the court sent several police officers, two realtors and a locksmith to his home to change the locks and prepare the property for sale, records show.

Have you been following the crackdown in Saudi Arabia on people (including Americans) who are fighting for basic women's rights?  It's literally a middle finger to Congress and America.  Of course Trump will do or say nothing.

Yes. But when religion drives a country's policies... they're sometimes tough to distinguish each other.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia was on Democracy Now about a week ago, and was talking about how frustrating he finds it when his Muslim nation is grouped with the Arabic Muslim countries. I would tend to agree with him. I don't think the lineage of these belief systems are unique to religion or country culture, but are created out of the combination of circumstances.

If untrue, Malaysia wouldn't be what it is today - a melting pot in the truest sense of the world, where religions and cultures are openly shared, and citizens of all walks of life engage respectfully with each other. I spent about three weeks there a few years ago, and really felt a sense of acceptance of 'otherness' that I've rarely experienced elsewhere.

I agree. I’m a firm atheist, but I don’t blame Islam for the horrific behaviour of some muslims, just like I don’t blame Christianity for the horrific behaviour of some Christians, or Judaism for the horrific behaviour of the Israeli government.

I personally think the world would be a much better place with no religion, but I’m not kidding myself that it would be perfect. Human nature is not perfectable; it’s violent and xenophobic.

I wonder if this was always so?  There are some scientists who believe early hominids were mostly timid scavengers.  In any case, whether violence and xenophobia are intrinsic characteristics of ours or not, it seems strange to me that with our big brains we have not evolved to understand that there are ways we can get along and all be content.  We have so much more to gain by being cooperative.
