The Russian bots also spread the word to Clinton voters only (by naming her) how they could vote by text for Hillary. Such a vote is not possible but too many believed it and their votes were never counted.
To be honest, if you believe that crap you have no business voting to begin with

I would say that young voters are so familiar with everything under the sun being possible on their cells (an extension of their hands) that they would believe it and do it without question. Not every voter is as well-versed in election laws as you are.
Anyone else notice how there’s a flurry of posting by the Tesm Trump Treason supporters just before a shoe drop? It’s a 12 legged octopus folks, get used to it. Team Mueller will be making calamari soon enough. Will it be fried or sautéed? With or without banana peppers?

But - they are so well versed that they know how to google and check it out . I still think if you get duped by that kind of a scheme I don;t want you voting. I know for a fact that if Fox news said it, a large % of trump voters would fall for it and not vote either....so maybe we should plant a story?
So if Trump met Butina at the NRA event, and then at his campaign announcement in June of 2015, he knew *exactly* what he was doing when he called on Butina at "FreedomFest" in July 2015—exactly as other Trump aides suspected (see the Corn and Isikoff book for more on this).
So here's Trump pretending to pick Butina from a crowd randomly in July '15, and pretending not to know her, as he avails himself of her Kremlin-planted question to publicly lay out (with him knowing Putin is watching) his Russia policy *on sanctions*.
*Also* interesting is that 3 days before Trump's announcement—and her (it seems) meeting him again—she publishes an essay in The National Interest that could easily serve as a Trump endorsement, given he was the only GOP candidate who fit her vision for U.S.-Russia relations.
And when Trump, nine months later, needs a venue to launch his pro-Russia foreign policy—which launch would be preceded by a VIP event which would be attended by Russia's ambassador (certainly a Maria Butina acquaintance)—where does he choose? The HQ of The National Interest.

great read. crazy how fucking deep this is. be amazing if he takes not only Trump down but the NRA and possibly even the Republican party. fucking traitors all of them.

For anyone who thinks that putin on the ritz spends a million dollars a day and doesn't expect results, I have a drained swamp I'll sell you. Suckers.
While the intelligence agencies are silent on the impact of Russia’s attack, outside experts who have examined the Kremlin campaign — which included stealing and sharing Democratic Party emails, spreading propaganda online and hacking state voter rolls — have concluded that it did affect an extremely close election decided by fewer than 80,000 votes in three states. Clint Watts, a former FBI agent, writes in his recent book, “Messing with the Enemy,” that “Russia absolutely influenced the U.S. presidential election,” especially in Michigan and Wisconsin, where Trump’s winning margin was less than 1 percent in each state.
Remember 3D? He was in on the act. Remember that? And yet, you may still believe it had no material impact?
We still don’t know the full extent of the Russian interference, but we know its propaganda reached 126 million people via Facebook alone. A BuzzFeed analysis found that fake news stories on Facebook generated more social engagement in the last three months of the campaign than did legitimate articles: The “20 top-performing false election stories from hoax sites and hyperpartisan blogs generated 8,711,000 shares, reactions, and comments on Facebook.” Almost all of this “fake news” was either started or spread by Russian bots, including claims that the pope had endorsed Trump and that Hillary Clinton had sold weapons to the Islamic State.
Collusion:
Russia also hacked voting systems in at least 39 states, and while there is no evidence that vote tallies were changed, Russians may have used the stolen data to target their social media or shared the results with the Trump campaign. The Senate Intelligence Committee found that “in a small number of states” the Russians may have been able to “alter or delete voter registration data,” potentially disenfranchising Clinton voters.
And you now have Team Trump Treason pretending the Russian's didn't interfere in our elections and has so far done very little to prevent it from happening again. Suckers.

It seems Nellie Ohr was well aware the National Security Agency can intercept and store every communication on the Internet. Did that affect her decision to become a ham radio operator?
Sure appears as thou Bruce Ohr was "netted" as discussed way back in Dec! Why does Dec seem like such a long time ago, much longer then nine months. Comey being fired upon the recommendation of Rosenstein, has the conspirators concerned that they will be "exposed".

2 things about Manafort 1. On day one the prosecution said this "we will put forth no evidence having to do with the 2016 election". (Read beyond the headlines! Hint:The transcripts are a very good resource) 2. I'll repeat for the fourth time now, jailing the Manaforts of the world does us all a huge favor.
Now on to something actually having to do with Russian election "interference": were the FBI Woods procedures applied to the "evidence" (used loosely) obtained from Russians that was contained in the Steele dossier and used to get a FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign?

Two full days of jury deliberations with no verdict?
Jury asks the judge to define reasonable doubt?
Hate to say it but Paulie's gonna cheat America out of sixty million dollars of taxable income and skate home.

The longer it goes, the better for the prosecution. Manaforte doesn’t have the cash to reimburse the treasury or the Russian oligarch. Juries ask judges to define “beyond a reasonable doubt,” all the time. More concerning was the judge’s behavior from the bench but even that has a silver lining. Three times the evidence in the upcoming September trial in a different venue and before a different judge. Maybe the sheets will be as soft as that ostrich jacket?

Indictment: That evening, Russian operatives targeted Clinton campaign emails "for the first time."

hmmmm.....that sounds like collusion
