  • Speaking of Pittsburgh sports teams. I believe that championship for the three big teams has never been won at home.

And, if you put your foot with your toes at where your wrist bends, most people will find it is the length of your forearm and will end at the bend of your elbow. Old school art school trick.

    You're a southpaw too, GF? But guessing you're not a redhead =)

no not really but I able to use my right hand for various tasks, when I was a carpenter swing a hammer right or left was never a problem, just little things like that but my son on the other hand is a lefty as is his uncle and grandfather and all have a knack for using both hands fairly well.

I've heard that, never met anyone who knew Aztec enough to confirm. But the reason why is just as amusing. Avocados often hang in pairs.

dad once told me he read some fbi statistic that says most arsonists have blue eyes.

was just reading the profile of a arsonist & found this:

"The pyromaniac, he says, is often a male loner whose background includes a domineering mother and a weak or nonexistent father."

"Ironically, the principal male figure in his life probably worked at job in which fire played a significant role, such as a firefighter, steel-mill worker or incinerator operator."

for poetry through the ceiling. ISBN: 1 4241 8840 7

    "Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
    sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
    no more forever."

6.Franklin Roosevelt used the IRS to harass newspaper publishers who were opposed to his plans for the New Deal. The former president also used the IRS on political rivals and prominent Republicans, including an IRS audit of illegal campaign contributions made by a government contractor to congressman and future president Lyndon B. Johnson

Prince Fielder will not be medically cleared to play baseball ever again. Sad end to a great career.

Prince has 319 career homeruns. Princes dad, Cecil Felder had 319 career homeruns.

Polar bears have black skin. They have a thick underfur with guard hairs on top that are made up of hollow, pigment free hairs that scatter and reflect light

I didn't know this so hunted for a hairless polar bear to see what it looked like, lol, and discovered that black skin is less vulnerable to cold damage, which explains your fact. The lighter the skin, the more likely one will be to get frost bite, for example. This goes against some people's assumptions that white skin makes better sense in cold climates (while darker skin still does make better sense in hot/sunny climates)... which makes sense of course, since the Inuit aren't white (apparently white skin is probably a result of a more farming-reliant culture and is for increasing vitamin D absorption to accommodate diets higher in grains in farming cultures and lower UV levels in more northern climes).

"Samuel Morse was inspired to explore a means of rapid long distance communication after suffering a personal tragedy in 1825. While at Washington DC, Morse had received a letter from his father about his ailing wife's sudden death. By the time he reached his hometown New Haven she was already buried. He therefore resolved to devote himself to find a means of immediate communication after this incident."
