Pneuma was so good as the closer at Aftershock, I don't know why they haven't continued that. That song is a such an opus live with the visuals and lasers. That song alone was worth the 13 year wait between albums.
Pneuma is definitely the highlight of the show.  Was absolutely killer both shows I saw last year.  Looking forward to another in Dallas next week

I believe they played later than 11 in Fresno but I could be wrong. I left just as Stinkfist started. Could have sworn it was 11 before that song started.

Yeah, they went past 11 at both San Jose and Fresno.

I think it’s been pretty quiet on the vinyl front.

Personally I’m pretty anxious for them to announce more dates... I have a verbal commitment from a buddy that he’ll go to Seattle w/ me if they play the Gorge, so I’m praying they book that venue when they swing through the PNW.

4 dates... that's a lot of open calendar between the PNW & Bonnaroo.

I imagine (hope) there'll be a lot more coming. This probably torpedoes my hope of a Gorge show, but never say never, I suppose. (I figured it was a long shot anyway considering the venue capacity, but a guy can dream, can't he?)

I have been hoping for the Gorge too, but with Spokane announced I think you are right, it isn't happening. I at least hope they add Seattle and Vancouver, kind of weird they aren't playing either of those cities when they will be right in the area

Why would you spent that much to hear the same set list 3x?? I doubt tool will ever switch their set lists because they have bat shit crazy fans who over emphasize the experience. Drummer yah but that’s it. Maybe a little karma to Adam on the newest album too.

Those PNW dates are the same places they played last time through. I'm in for Portland.

I'd gladly pay to hear that same setlist 4 times.  Thanks for your comment though

Poor me,  I've seen them three times since October and heard Part of Me, Descending, Eon Blue Apocalypse, The Patient, and Swamp Song, all of which are not played at every show. They are changing up the setlist far more than they used to.
  • Merkin BallerMerkin Baller Posts: 11,451
I was PISSED when they played  Intolerance at both shows I went to in November. I only wanted to see it once. I was forced to over emphasize the rest of my experience even more than normal to offset how angry I was.

yep.. there's much more to the live music experience than staring at a set list on a computer screen..
