for an instrumental Chocolate Chip Trip is pretty good, Love the name. And it def. has a trippy vibe to it.

This is a sonic experience in full 24-bit quality on good headphones. Wow.
Agreed. This is the way to listen to the album. The drumming really shines in Hi-Res audio. I don't know why they bothered with the archaic CD format. If you're going to put out more than 80 minutes of music, it should be done digitally.
Are you hearing any clipping/distortion in the 24bit version?

Well, they did it both ways. Judging by the packaging, they put a lot of value in the physical presentation. With that, I'm glad they chopped interludes instead of making it 2 discs.
I listened through twice already. The best listen was my 8-mile run with the Bose ear buds. My god what a great album and perfect for an 8-mile run. I just got back into running so I'm still building up. This was by far my best run. Riding the wave of this album kept my heart rate in check and my pace was on point. I know, geeky, but anyone who runs will get it.
I love the entire album. Theres something about Culling Voices and I haven't seen anyone mention it. It's starts off like a lover sweetly caressing your cheek with the back of their hand. And before you know it they wrap both hands around your neck and choke the fuck out of you. Very powerful song.
Yes, 24-bit and some headphones. Doesn't necessarily have to be good ones. Just have to drown out the outside noise so you can really listen to it.
Awesome fucking album. My gawd they killed it.

I am sure the info is right in front of me but can someone explain if it is worth it to do the Tool Army for the presale?
How much is it these days? I’ve been a member for approximately 10 years, and with the exception of VIP packages and some exclusive merch, it offers little else for benefits.
I think this is the first time since I’ve been a member that they’ve offered non-vip presale tickets.

I've been in TA since they started it and honestly can't remember. Non-festival shows around me have been so infrequent and presales even more so. I fully expect their website to seize and die on Wednesday.

$50. I thought in the past they did VIP for like $500 or something like that.
I just did not want to spend the money and they have like 200 presale seats for each venue and thousands trying for it.

I need to look more into this. So its on their website? I do so more digging when I get home Monday from vacation.

The website’s a shit show, and I too expect it to crash. If you want a cool beanie and the chance, I say go for it. If you’re not going for VIP, I personally wouldn’t drop the $50. (They did suggest a very limited # of presale tickets, so my hopes aren’t high there, but what do I know?)
Hi there! Is anybody in the know of a vinyl version of Fear Inoculum? Thanks for an answer and greetings Frank
A guy from reddit said that a retailer from his local store told him, seriously and confident, that will be in November.
None knows but...
Tool’s website yesterday said there would be a vinyl release at some point, details will follow. I beleive it’s in the big announcement about the album release and tour dates.

Looks like they are doing delayed delivery for the tour tickets, but that's it. Really wish they would get more strict against scalping. Still don't see any prices, but I'm guessing about $150 all-in.
I haven't been able to find one even remotely local to me. Called or stopped by just about every record store and book store in three counties between yesterday and today. None to be found. The Guitar Center here ordered some but their employees bought all of them.
My "pre-order" from Barnes and Noble should be here Tuesday. No big deal though. I've already waited 13 years, what difference does a few more days make?
