7 tracks at around 85 minutes, going to be an amazing listening experience.
I saw/read/heard this. 85 minutes seems like a Tool album, but only seven songs? Was thinking at least 10, at the most nine. So each song is gonna be like 13 minutes? I'll still buy it of course and I'm sure i will be phenomenal. Still just a tad disappointed in the number of songs. I mean come on they had like 13 years

oh yeah forgot about their filler songs. I'm sure there will be at least one.
I would guess its 7 full songs counting the filler as part of the main song ala Intermission/Jimmy
I was mostly joking... knowing their reputation, I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a filler / intro or something. Don’t much care either, I’m just excited for new Tool!!!
We're going to crash the site once pre-orders are available. Guarantee it!!

There's probably going to be some insanely expensive tiered packaged. I'm just hoping there is a vinyl and CD version. I'm guessing that will put me back around $70.

Is there a Tool forum or group that would have inside info on a tour kind of like our rumour thread? I have 4 time owed days I need to put in before the end of next week and want to catch a couple of shows if they are touring this fall.

Ugh, that sucks.
I would be surprised if such a forum exists. Everything about this band has been as tight lipped as anything I can recall in recent years.

Hellboy over at www.fourtheye.net has a forum but tour stuff doesn't leak as freely. Though it's still the best source of info since Kabir shut down TDN years ago .

I’m psyched to see them doing these interviews again.
"The vocalist does warn that patience is an important virtue to uphold when listening to the album, comparing it to a slow-developing movie full of character development. "There's gonna be a lot of people who might not get this album because it does take engagement...It's just what we do."

Fear Inoculum is the long awaited new album from TOOL, and the band's first new album in 13 years. The album will be available digitally, and in a special Limited Edition physical package that includes a CD in a tri-fold Soft Pack Video Brochure featuring a 4" HD rechargeable screen with exclusive video footage, a USB charging cable, a 2 watt speaker and a 36 page insert book and MP3 download card. Tool members include drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones, bassist Justin Chancellor and vocalist Maynard James Keenan. To date, Tool has released four studio albums, one EP, and one box set. Formed in 1990 in Los Angeles, California Tool emerged with a heavy metal sound on their first studio album, Undertow in 1993. Later, Tool became a dominant act in the alternative metal movement with the release of its follow-up album Ænima in 1996. The band's efforts to unify musical experimentation, visual arts, and a message of personal evolution continued with the release of Lateralus in 2001, and 10,000 Days in 2006 - gaining Tool critical acclaim, and commercial success around the world. Tool has won three Grammy Awards, performed worldwide tours, and produced albums topping the charts in several countries.

Going for a second listen right now. Not what I expected at all but enjoyed it on first listen. Vocals are more like APC at the start. Once the song gets going I get Reflection vibes.
