Yes please. Imagine how good those shows would be tho.

The feeling when a planned European tour seems to be cancelled
Planned by Pearl Jam Co. or planned by fans that has been talked about for many months now? Didn't Jeff say something this time last year that there was never a planned "rumored" tour happening in Europe? Can't remember when Kelly & Jeff were answering tweets on PJ's Twitter account.

I think the emphasis was on they couldn't cancel a tour which hadn't been announced. Multiple festival organisers/bookers have subsequently confirmed they were to play but pulled out following the terrorist attacks in Europe. This left them with holes to fill in their line ups and so they weren't best pleased.
I do think that if they were playing over here next summer then we would know something, the festival headliners are already being announced at a rapid rate. Unless they do a 2009 tour with a mini tour not linked to festivals and announced in spring.
2009 - Manchester. 2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London, Berlin, Arras, Werchter. 2011 - PJ20 i & ii, Montreal, Toronto i & ii, Ottawa, Hamilton. 2012 - Manchester i & ii, Berlin i & ii, Stockholm. 2014 - Amsterdam i & ii, Trieste, Vienna, Berlin, Leeds, Milton Keynes. 2016 - Boston Fenway i & ii, 2018 - Amsterdam i & ii, Pinkpop, London i & ii, Padova, Krakow, Barcelona, Seattle i & ii.
I am hoping to see them at one of the festivals that the Foo's are playing at over in Europe. Radiohead is playing quite a few of the festivals as well. Would love to see the 3 of them together!!
Late to the Pearl Jam party - but my world is now forever changed
No way they play Europe without at least 1-2 festival dates
Right. That is why I'm skeptical on a tour this summer.
Well 2009 is the most recent precedent for no festivals on a European tour, however I too think there would be more info around should it be happening.

The last regular season game at the Joe is 4-9. Pending a playoff appearance, Im still praying PJ closes it out in April

With DMB on hiatus in 2017 I wondered if Pearl Jam would jump on the Labor Day weekend dates at the Gorge. Nope. Guns n' Roses announced for 9/3 at the Gorge this morning.
Soundgarden has recently toured without Matt. So there's that glimmer of hope for PJ dates still. Headlining festivals tho, pretty sure he'd be playing. At this point I'm accepting the fact they aren't playing in 2017, and if anything pops up it'll just be that much more of a surprise!

They are definitely playing Europe. Just don't know dates. I do know that Europe is definitely on. My guess is announcement probably won't be until early spring.

I'm pinning any hopes on your post! If it is a spring announcement then that would follow 2009 with shows happening in late summer/early autumn. Early summer would need to be announced around now if involving festivals in June/July. I'm still rather pessimistic though.

They announced the 2014 tour this time in 2013 (the 13th to be exact) so if there is going to be a tour in 2017, I would imagine that an official announce would happen soon.
After the 2015 Latin America Tour, EV said they would never tour in the fall again. Now that the Cubs won the WS, wonder if that changes anything.

I would expect GnR to add a second date during the onsale but we'll see. What you suggest is possible and the Gorge is accustomed to being booked all three nights that weekend.

G&R are playing Vancouver on Friday 9/1 so I don't see them adding Saturday 9/2 at the Gorge and playing 3 nights in a row...

I think we are onto something here
Europe in August and the Gorge on the 1st and 2nd of September would be great!
