Detroit would be awesome, but I dont see them getting in the Tour unless its something special with Joe Louis Arena. 2014 wasn't too long ago. They seem to be on a 4-7 year cycle with the Midwest/West Coast cities

four years ago PJ did a show on the Pensacola beach in FL... opened with Oceans! I heard a few stories from people who were standing IN the ocean watching PJ perform Oceans. Sounded like an amazing experience.
Was there in Pensacola. Was awesome. Call me crazy. I just love the arenas. Sound and energy is best. When I can travel to 3-4 shows in the US, hang with the pj family, I'm a happy man.

With no album in 4 years? No shot
UNLESS they do a small theater/venue tour... then it's possible...

Now you're talking, my man! Bring on the Texas and SW swing! Oh, and Detroit too!
Of course just about everybody would say Small Club given the four choices in the PJ twitters poll. I agree with McGruff, people would bitch up a storm because tickets would be absolutely impossible to get short of paying a fortune to the scalpers.
I wonder what they mean by small club tho. They could play places like Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. Holds only like 5,000 people, and they can do a 10c only tour with these "small" club type venues. One can dream.

agreeeeeeed.. PJ 10C only tour! tickets would sell out so that wouldn't be an issue. I suppose ticketmaster would be butt hurt which is why they probably have a contract to always have a portion of sales. dang TM.
I really think the reason they played greenville was because Atlanta didnt fit in on the right dates. I have to assume a good amount came to our neck of the woods from atlanta for it anyways

I doubt the MidWest will get much love on the next US tour.. Being from Nebraska I hope so, but 2014 was a big Midwest year.
Start in Atlanta, hit Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, New Orleans, Houston, New Mexico, Utah, Las Vegas, LA, Oregon, Seattle.
If they went from FL to Canada recently, they can hit a lot of states on the next tour.
Wishful thinking!
I'm from Nebraska originally and still have family there. Would LOVE more Midwest dates. Leave the kids at grandmas while I drive around and see a few shows. They get to see grandma and I get guilt free Pearl Jam. Score.

Yeah, grandmas, grandkids and guilt free PJ seems like an All American recipe.

I don't see them playing the Stranahan.
The Huntington Center, although not that small, is a really nice venue & would most likely be the place they would play.

I keep re-editing my post because I keep feeling I'm being negative..... 5000 people isn't that many. Especially for a place like Chicago that has 11 million people in the area. Tickets would be extremely hard to come by. If they did shows like that, there's a strong chance you wouldn't be going. I'd rather them play venues where I have a reasonable chance of getting in the door.
The other part is that I think the Band's bread and butter is touring. I can't see them making a fortune off the limited edition small run stuff. They must make it on all the ticket sales and merch they sell to all of us at the shows. I could see them doing a few small shows (like the showbox one's in 02), but a whole tour of it, that'd be tough. It'd be a huge pay cut for them, and they'd have to deal with all the complaints about people not getting tickets?
While I would LOVE for them to come to Texas next year, I was just listening to some songs on shuffle and Baba (Fenway 1) came on....at the end, Ed said "See you next year"
Perhaps a little slip of the tongue....but maybe there's something behind it.
