Hi. My first post! Was wondering if someone who is going to go for merch would do a fellow 10 Club member a favor and pick up a few things for me, as I can't make it to Chicago. The boyfriend of one of my fiancée's friends lives in Chicago (we've only recently met, so not someone I can ask to go for me, hence I'm asking this favor) and is willing to take delivery. Can Venmo the money upon delivery or have my fiancée's friend's boyfriend pay you. Please send me a pm if interested and willing, and I will provide more details. Many thanks!!

Everyone saying how the band doesn't owe fans anything etc. regarding merch, but fact is they set a precedent with how well Fenway was handled and now Wrigley situation seems opposite. Just saying a little information would go a long way. And then Mr Tsurt goes on some unprofessional rant on social media -a lot of boo hooing for a guy making big bucks off rock tshirts
Speaking of boo hooing....
seriously...
the amount of bitching in this thread is unreal. its fucking merch people.
they knew it was coming, they run the show... if they were able to do something in Boston and now is the opposite, bitching is in the forecast ;-)
Fuck the merch. Where can I get me some of that?..... Mexico? I'll climb a wall for that any day. Lol

Can anyone educate me on the artist Faile? I'm unfamiliar with him but already sensing a good deal of hype
They are two "street" artists from Brooklyn (air quotes because while they do have murals all over the world, they are sanctioned and paid for so not sure if that still qualifies them as street artists!). They've also do installations. My favourite one was when they did a collaboration with the New York City Ballet where they created a tower made out of wooden blocks. Each block was painted with a different image and put together to create a giant installation, and each ticket holder received a block as a souvenir. They don't normally do gig posters from what I can tell.
One day we should have banksy on the roster .....could you imagine the hysteria?
The Inside The Rock Poster Frame blog posted a Banksy gig poster as an April Fools Day joke a few years ago... It would be incredible to see a real one pop up some day!!

I wonder if they'll have a merch stand at home plate for GA, like they did in 2013? I seem to remember people saying they were able to score pretty much everything at that stand, including the Shuss cracker jack.

I agree...also, can we introduce a little subtlety and remove "Pearl Jam" from being a focal point on every t-shirt made? Focus on the art/design, throw in a discreet PJ and other symbols of the day (ie bolts) and voila... perfection.

I find it interesting that so many people have made the comment that based on the previews they think the merch for Wrigley blows the Fenway merch out. I personally feel that it all basically looks the same. You got your keychain, stickers, koozies, socks, skyline shirt, jersey, f'n cards (I just don't get the appeal). Other than the Klausen, those posters aren't doing a whole lot for me. This could be easier to deal with than I thought.
That last shirt with the car/speaker deal is pretty cool.

I think the posters blow Fenway's out of the water. The images that have been teased are already more exciting to me than anything that was at Fenway. I also love Faile and Klausen so that may be my bias. Faile doesn't normally do gig posters and I think their work is stunning.
The other merch are about on par in my opinion. Wrigley is probably a bit more meaningful because of Ed's superfandom.

I won't disagree as to each their own. But, other than Klausen and the Eagle, I couldn't see myself hanging any of the other Wrigley posters (based on what's been teased). I think the Fenway posters are more home/office wall friendly to the general populace (obviously that's a generality which is always wrong). The diversity in choices is great. I also think the Wrigley ones had a bit more artistic "freedom" having done the pure basebally ones last time.
I think the Blues Bros shirt is the best at either place. That is sweet. My favorite shirt at Fenway was the Old Timer that references both places. Just a classic to me that oozes Fenway/Wrigley.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.
I think the Wrigley posters top to bottom all look really good, whereas Fenway's posters had 1 really good one with the rest were kind of blah. That being said, I still have a hunch that when looking back at which is the best poster out of all 11 at the Fenway/Wrigley shows that the Fenway Steve Thomas will be the best of the bunch.
Im not a fan of 12X30 posters just because of the storage, but who am I kidding Ill buy it

"Wall friendliness" isn't a criteria for me when purchasing posters

I agree with this. Wrigley has 5 posters that are all pretty cool, no stinkers like the Fenway Shuss and Ames posters. I personally thought the Mark5 poster was pretty weak too, even though I'm a fan of his work in general.
It looks like the Wrigleys are all decent, but none are amazing IMO, and none are as good as the Steve Thomas.

I'm disappointed they recycled the baseball / skull design from Wrigley '13.
It's a cool design, but between the patches, stickers, hoodies, windbreakers & Fenway koozies, it's definitely getting beaten to death.
