Everyone saying how the band doesn't owe fans anything etc. regarding merch, but fact is they set a precedent with how well Fenway was handled and now Wrigley situation seems opposite. Just saying a little information would go a long way.
And then Mr Tsurt goes on some unprofessional rant on social media -a lot of boo hooing for a guy making big bucks off rock tshirts

    Speaking of boo hooing....
    seriously...

the amount of bitching in this thread is unreal. its fucking merch people.

The 2016 MLB schedule was announced last September. The renovations of Wrigley began at least last year as well. These shows were announced early in 2016. They were in the planning stages long before that. The Cubs being in town until Thursday and the neighborhood being ripped up cannot have come as a surprise to anyone involved. There should be a workaround figured out by now and it should have been locked down long before this. I'd be shocked to learn at this late date they were still trying to determine how best to sell Wrigley merch. They know what they're doing.

Where has anyone said that they are still trying to determine how to sell merch? They just haven't announced anything yet....

My comment isn't directed at you, but as I rule I will quote you whenever I respond to this thread.

As someone else pointed out for Fenway, they announced 4 days before the show (8/1 announce for 8/5 show) and today would be that day for Wrigley (8/16 announce for 8/20 show). So, technically they are still on the same timeline. That being said, they have already said Thursday at Metro it starts. So, there is actually information out there ahead of when they did Fenway.

I'm guessing many of you aren't even there yet, so why does it matter? Are you changing flights? Isn't it better the later they start, so casual people going to Cubs games don't go - ooh! look - money!

Disclaimer: I don't know the timeline of Fenway, so I am trusting what someone else has said about the announcement.
