I have no evidence to back this up but I wonder if the flippers are pretending to buy this stuff at the crazy prices to try and set the market price for these items.

Of course they are. It's the easiest, oldest trick in the book. Have a friend "buy" your item, the sale gets canceled afterwards, seller gets his fee from eBay reversed, and the item still shows as sold. Everyone else thinks 2 boxes were actually sold for $1000 so they think they're getting a great deal at $800 or $900.

I have no doubt in my mind those are fake sales.
Maybe so, but that's shill bidding which would put their accounts under scrutiny pretty quickly.
Eh, not really. A fake sale here and there won't attract any suspicion since it's a Buy It Now listing. If it was bidding, then yea. But get 2 friends to buy your items and then wait a few days and request a transaction cancellation, that's something that won't put eyes on you. It's just a canceled sale, which is way different than manipulating an auction.
I'm pretty sure that when a seller accepts a best offer the price it sold for is not disclosed. It shows sold and the price says the original asking price. So someone could have offered $100 but eBay shows the final sale as the full asking price.
This is also true. They've made it harder and harder over the years to see the true price something sold for, which is annoying and I don't really understand the reasoning. There are websites though where you can plug in the item numbers and see what it sold for. In this case, 4 boxes have sold. $750, $700, $999.99 (all from forceofnature) and $1100 from another seller.

But honestly, I hate to even bring attention to what this stuff is selling for. It only puts us at an even bigger disadvantage.

Hey guys how quick did the green and blue pj banners/flags last today ?

I walked in @ 6:20 pm (no line) & scored both flags (pennants were long gone). They had 1 large jersey left & some smaller. Tried on the jersey, it's a really nice piece, but passed on it as $140 is too much to spend on something I'll never wear,

I wanted at least one of the flags, I was surprised both were available. I guess I'm in the minority in thinking they are some of the best items of the Fenway merch. With the exception of the Thomas poster, the flags were all I really wanted.

Plenty of shirts, stickers hats, hoodies etc still available I was quite surprised.

Hmm, the second Ames is based on the Topps '89 design, but I can't place the first one. The playing card is probably my favorite.
Reminds me more of the 77 design reversed. Mostly the little pennant. Not as obvious as the 89.

Was there at 5:30 (can see me in the Demetrios pic a few posts above) and I went back at 6:45 thanks to that pic. I didn't even see the banners when I was there and then saw them in the pic and stopped back in. At 5:30 I had 1 person ahead of me and at 6:45 nobody. Pennants, non black and white patches and the 2 best posters are all they did not have which I wanted (dont care about cards). Everything else seemed well stocked.

Well, the locals got their chance today. We'll see what happens on Thursday and Friday. More merch booths though.

I'm kinda laughing at the eBay sellers taking pics of the "No flippers" stickers to show they have legit posters.

They run big - I bought a large for the hockey sweaters, and med/large for t shirts. I grabbed a medium baseball jersey because they looked so big. The medium on me is still a little too big. Glad I didn't get the large or I'd be swimming in it.

That's what I suspected. Thank you for responding

  • I got there right at 5:00 and there was literally no line whatsoever. Banners were there, hoodies, stickers, shirts, etc. The stuff that the others mentioned was not there. Some feedback on the t-shirts is that they run small! I decided to try one on to be on the safe side and glad I did. Good luck everyone and I hope that everyone gets what they want.

Pearl Jam is now a merchandise company first, and rock band second. 5 days of merch, 3 hours of music.

Would love to hear the band's thoughts on the merch scene.

  • 1/2 the number of shows in a tour, increase the style and variety of merchandise equals less work (shows) and same/more $

They know their fans like merch. They make merch. They then provide as many hours as possible to give fans an opportunity to buy merch. I bet their thoughts would consist of a big middle finger to all the complainers on here. If people don't want it then they shouldn't buy it but for Christ sakes enough with all the whining peoples!

Clearly they are fine with it as they are selling all this stuff.

    6 hours of music.

If they're restocking willy-nilly all day there's gotta be a chance they'll run out before the last day. Remember, the global citizen volcom pop up shop was supposed to be releasing posters randomly during the day and that's not what happened. Basically what I'm saying is I have little faith in the merch stand staff

So I'm assuming the same flippers are able to line up again on the 4th? First I thought that 10C online presale suggestion was shit. Not so bad of an idea now after reading about all this
