"They had limits much higher at the start. Like you could buy a full box of cards 48 packs. 10 stickers , 10 pennants etc etc. one dude had his wife? And hired 4 "workers" to wait in line. We watched as they took out so much merch they couldn't even carry it all to the dudes car. They had to make 2 trips. Watched him pay his workers cash and they all went on their way. 5 minutes later the limits were lowered
So, the usual suspects, always at the beginning of the line, always a limit put on shortly after that. Hmmmmmmm, anyone seeing a pattern here?

By now if they don't realize this merch craze has gotten out of control and can't even have one of there interns to over look the merch booth to make sure limits are set then people will continue to take advantage over and over again.
But more importantly as paying members of the ten club it would be nice if we're the first ones able to buy stuff online prior the shows and whatever left goes to the general public.

Oh, is this the famous "green shirt guy" from the Volcom shop? Priceless. I saw him in NY, if that's who I'm thinking of.

Thank god I'm sitting these shows out.
Disagree. Idiots paying over inflated prices on eBay are the problem. Really, do you need to drop $1000 on baseball cards if you can't get them 6 days before the show? Life will go on. The fans created this ridiculous demand and meds and only feed it and make it worse by paying the prices.
Life will go on outdid you don't get your 1223rd shower poster or flag or shirt. Try enjoying the music, that's what it used to be about.
It has nothing to do with a fan club organization.

If it was a backdoor deal with the merch people the guy wouldn't have to wait in front of the line. They would just hold stuff back for him to buy later, or sell it to him early. You would never see them, or the merch, in line.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?
I'm over the Fenway merch and I'm not even there yet.
This is the only way to beat them. Im not arriving until 3pm Friday but am staying thru sunday. Im only buying whats in the venue.
I'm in the same boat. Friday afternoon to Monday morning. If there's anything left inside the shows of the few things I wanted to begin with then I'll go that route but I'm not freaking out about jerkoffs hiring people to snap up loads of shit. At the end of the day it's all just trinkets. I'm more concerned about the rock and roll.
It is quite ironic though that a band which has taken such an outspoken stance for preserving the integrity of the experience for their fans continues to feed and even promote this unfettered frenzy for their merchandise which has resulted in an egregious secondary market that simultaneously shuts out the actual fans at the show and enables price gouging profiteers to flourish. The similarities to the ticketing battles and the current situation with the merch are striking.

Just left there. It is 3:30. The shop has all but one poster and everything else. They started limits. 10 cards (earlier ppl got boxes of 48) 3 stickerst and basically 2 of everything else. Shirts are not available in all sizes. The line is only 20ppl long
I don't have to see the photo of him. I know exactly who he is. I have seen him at so many shows. You can see him orchestrating all the purchases. Not to many people on earth I dislike but he is on a list of one. If that's what he needs to do than so be it but he is a POS. Everything sold is not a necessity. Just a nice momento of the concert that just melted your face. Don't give in to secondary markets. Let his house look like someone from hoarders but all PJ related goods.
I'm going to be in Boston Saturday around noon through Monday morning with my 3 kids and husband who are all excited to go to Boston for the first time. My middle daughter will be attending her first ever concert with me on Sunday. We want to do non pj activities too. I can't spend too much time in merch but really would like her to have a tshirt and me to have a poster. I'm also donating a Fenway poster to the poster pool here. I'm feeling very discouraged by the reports today. I knew it wouldn't be pretty. At this point, not sure I'll get anything. Definitely won't feed the beast on eBay.
10c. Please enforce limits and have enough stock.

If it was absolutely, positively unethical business practice going on - then yes, you'd be correct. We'd never see it. Agreed.

Two people have already bought his box of $1000 cards
Is anyone really surprised. Some PJ fans are dumb. The same people who will post a complaint in a thread about prices are the same ones who need everything, run to ebay and drop a mortgage payment on a fucking box of paper baseball cards.
And so you see, I have come to doubt All that I once held as true I stand alone without beliefs The only truth I know is you.

this right here is the problem who in there right mind would spend that kind of money on that? And people wonder why this "man in the green shirt" does what he does. There is a sucker out there that will buy this crap at 10 times the going rate
I asked some friends in Boston to get me a shirt and quickly told them to forget it after hearing all this nonsense
I have no evidence to back this up but I wonder if the flippers are pretending to buy this stuff at the crazy prices to try and set the market price for these items.
