Some feedback on the t-shirts is that they run small! I decided to try one on to be on the safe side and glad I did. Good luck everyone and I hope that everyone gets what they want.

Pearl Jam is now a merchandise company first, and rock band second. 5 days of merch, 3 hours of music.

Would love to hear the band's thoughts on the merch scene.

  • 1/2 the number of shows in a tour, increase the style and variety of merchandise equals less work (shows) and same/more $

They know their fans like merch. They make merch. They then provide as many hours as possible to give fans an opportunity to buy merch. I bet their thoughts would consist of a big middle finger to all the complainers on here. If people don't want it then they shouldn't buy it but for Christ sakes enough with all the whining peoples!

Clearly they are fine with it as they are selling all this stuff.

    6 hours of music.

If they're restocking willy-nilly all day there's gotta be a chance they'll run out before the last day. Remember, the global citizen volcom pop up shop was supposed to be releasing posters randomly during the day and that's not what happened. Basically what I'm saying is I have little faith in the merch stand staff

So I'm assuming the same flippers are able to line up again on the 4th? First I thought that 10C online presale suggestion was shit. Not so bad of an idea now after reading about all this

    No crap.

Just looked, I can be on a flight out of Lauderdale at 8:50 in the morning and fly back Monday at 5:30 AM, for $210 round trip. Can stay at a friends house and make some money. Could make my travel expenses back and buy a ticket to each show and still be on top money wise. J/K, but wish I had the free time just to go to the shows, the flights weren't that cheap a few months ago.

Cool I can get my box!!!
I think this is kind of hilarious... you can ONLY buy 2 packs... OR ok, I guess go ahead and buy 40 packs, if you really wanna.

I'm excited that there are stickers. I guess people are going for the bigger items now?

Save me some cards as that's what I really want.

Whatever someone is willing to buy in cards I'll take them off your hands!

I think this merchandise plan worked out well, got everything I wanted with little hassle. Good luck to anyone trying this weekend!

Agreed, flippers aside, I strolled in at 5:45pm and got everything I was hoping for (except for two posters). In and out in 5min.

Does this increase the instances of flipping or, more specifically, people NOT attending the show buying merch and flipping? Yes.

But it also let a fan walk in after his work day and get most of what he was looking for. Now I don't need to line up crazy early on Fri or Sun to get merch at the stands inside.

All in all, I think it worked out pretty well. I apologize to people who feel they got shafted, but it seemed alright to me.

It was Tuesday and the show is on Friday. Lets see what happens the rest of the week when travelers get into town.

Agree with this. If I purchased one of everything available, I would have laid out several hundred dollars. Plenty of cool stuff in supply. If anyone is fixated on a few higher demand items, that's on them. Couldn't have asked for this to go better.
  • It was Tuesday and the show is on Friday. Lets see what happens the rest of the week when travelers get into town.

Well, doesn't that exactly prove my point tho?

People were hating on this idea because of it opened the door for flippers. But the fact that it WAS open on Tuesday means that someone like myself, a local fan, could come in and get merch pretty easily. This would not be possible without this merch schedule. Are out of towners kind of SOL? Well, a little. But if they didn't have merch set-up these days, wouldn't we all be bum rushing the tables Fri and Sun? Then wouldn't the problem just be exacerbated?

Now, I don't need to go on the remaining days, leaving it open for more out of towners to get in and get their crap.

Just hit up the store. Still had all t shirts in plenty of sizes, pins, stickers, jerseys, hats, pennants.

Really the only things they were out of were the Thomas/Schuss/Mark5 Posters, cards, enamel pins, and patches. Not bad for the end of the day in my opinion.

    green flag was sold out
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
    "..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”

I bought the green shamrock flag @ 6:20 yesterday evening. Maybe it was re-stocked, but they were available when I was there.

Me too w/ the exception of the one poster I want.

I feel like it will be a different story on Thursday when the out of towners start arriving. I hope not for the sake of all the fans who want some stuff. I hope PJ mass produced everything to keep the profits themselves, take care of the fans & screw over the flippers.

Bucky? Too funny. I'm sure Sox fans love that one.

I actually like this one more and more. Puts a little Dent in the Red Sox love fest. I wonder if Ames did this on purpose or not.

I am on board with this thought. A lot of retail going on lately. It is what it is.... I'm OK with it, they intend to make a buck just like anyone else - but please cut the crap on the Green Disease ideology. That ship has sailed with this band.
