Welp, got there at 10:05. Got near the door at 4:45 only to have them announce they'd sold out of their daily allocation of every poster but the Faile. Well get inside 15-20 minutes later (topping the 7 hour mark) to find out he was wrong and all that was left was the Feldman, which I had no interest in. Add that to the fact that the shirt I wanted was only in XXL, and all in all today was just one big nutkick.
Guy in front of me took about 20 minutes spewing a constant stream of ordering stuff. Don't know how he did it but he walked away with multiple (over the limit) items and 2 boxes of cards!

Was talking to a guy in line and we were thinking today would be the easiest of all days. Everyone is probably flying in tonight or tomorrow which means the lines will be worse Friday and Saturday. More merch stands, yes. But many more PJ fans will be here too. I see a bunch of stuff selling out pretty quick.

Yea waiting 7 hours in a merch line is a bit much come on guys. I waited 1 time for 2 hours at global citizens festival for the transformers poster and did not get it and decided never to do it again. I was at my limit at 2 hours. Can't imagine 7 hours of waiting. Save your time and stalk eBay for a solid buy.
I have no doubt they made a bunch of everything, similar to Fenway, so I really wouldn't stress. Tomorrow at 4pm, it'll be a breeze to dip in. They just didn't have enough staff today, a problem fixed with 6 people on every truck.
Exactly. Today was just a bonus that they did for the fans since they were handcuffed by the Cubs being in town through today. The merch situation should be much better for the rest of the weekend.
This whole thing sounds a lot like last time. Minus the 100+ in no shade. Least you people has trees every so often. Swore I'd never do it again and had nothing but good times since. Plus managed to always get everything I needed after the show.
I'm sorry, but I don't feel too bad for people who waited 7 hours in line. Pay the $150 on Ebay for the poster and save 7 hours of your time, already.
You know what? Effin A, bro! If all else fails and I don't get the one I want I'm with you. I'm done stressing about this shit. My time is more valuable than Merch.
Checking eBay, only 40-50 items from Wrigley sold so far today. There are over 650 items tagged as PJ Wrigley and about 50 are tickets, probably 100 are mistagged. Plus lot of flippers have probably not going there stock online. The supply is far outweighing the demand. If this keeps up Ebay prices will fall and chances of getting your item at a stand will increase as the flippers stay away as the weekend progresses.
Yeah theres a few items I want and I'm not waiting 7 hours for them. I'll buy the blues brothers shirt for $99 if I have to. 7 hours is worth a lot more than that.

Never. I will not fill the flippers' bank accounts. I get the time thing...I do. But I will never buy from eBay. I will trade here or pay a small premium here but that is all...
I agree. I've never been to chicago before and there's no way I have it in me to wait 7 hours to buy merch. I'll probably end up buying the poster/tshirt I want from ebay (allthough I'll wait to see if the artists or PJ sell some directly).
I waited from noon until almost 6 to get almost nothing. The line got slower the closer we got to the front. I was really hoping for the Faile poster. It was the only one I really wanted. So I took what they had left, The Feldman. So, if anyone has a spare Faile and want to trade, please let me know. We will be at the show on Saturday.
Oh, and thank you again to the couple from Florida sharing your fries! And to the guy from the restaurant passing out water
I was there at 630 and got everything I wanted. The eagle print is metallic, I'd post a pic if I could figure it out
Please do. I'd love to see those metallics. You can use a photo share site like photobucket or similar, just upload photo to that site, then share it here using the image link.

Just a few things to add as someone that spent 7 hours in line for merch. Got there at 9, left at 4, dead serious.
All 5 posters were still available when I left at 4pm, and I was the 193rd customer. They guy at the front door had one of those clicker-counters. Like everyone said they only had 3 people ringing you up on one table, but had to run in the back (metro's inner staircase) to get the shirts.
Did it suck? Yes. Did I get everything I wanted (Posters, Coozie, Stickers, Trading Cards, Flag, All The Way T)? Yes. But Merch was pretty good about restocking. I'm surprised they sold out of posters, a couple of times someone counted the line only to run across the street to get a single box of posters. I'm not saying they dipped into another day's allotment (at a minimum), but if they did, I appreciate it.

7 hours waiting on a line! Yikes. I'm gad to hear that you got everything you wanted. There's no way I'd ever wait on any line for any item for that long - to each their own. There must be a lot of h-angry people down there

This is just ludicrous. I can not even begin to fathom waiting in a fucking merch line for 7 hours. It's not worth the aggravation.
I mentally prepared myself before going to Boston that I wasn't going to wait in any ridiculous lines and guess what? I never did because there weren't any. I went to four different merch stands, got literally everything I wanted and waited a total of 20 minutes combined. I expect the same thing to be the case when I hit Chicago on Saturday morning or I just ain't buying shit.
