Someone send Ames bros Brad Klausen's number. My Bogota was shipped with love lol
I like the fact that Brad uses the larger tubes!!! This definitely helps minimize damage to the poster when packing, AND really makes it easier when flattening them out!! My Bogota poster was "uncurled" in hours with no weights on the corners

I second this thought......... I was a little surprised seeing the large tube at my door when the Bogota poster arrived. It was so easy pulling that baby out of the tube and it was practically flat from the get go. They charge enough for shipping & handling to cover the cost difference between small & large tubes. I never realized what a huge difference this makes! Also never thought about the sellers ease of packing in a larger tube.
After the first one came damaged they told me to return it in which I did.
Then the replacement came and the second one was worse then the first one ( a lot worse )
After emailing back and forth with Ames, where I told them it's extremely unprofessional that they can't ship posters properly that I keep receiving damaged posters. This was there response.
" We have been in the business of designing and shipping posters for over 20 years. I personally oversaw the rolling and packaging of this poster and I can tell you with 100% certainty that it left our studio in perfect condition. These pics illustrate what is known as a "roll fold" It happens when someone grabs the corner of the poster and improperly removes it causing damages to the edges versus loosening and removing the entire rolled poster at once. "
I responded in a civil manner but boy did I want to lay it into them.
Then they didn't want to refund me because it was passed 30 days!
Finally just got refunded last night.
Needless to say there's a good chance I won't be ordering from Ames again until they get there shit together.
After 20 years you think they would have better customer service as opposed to accusing its buyers of not taking out the posters correctly and whoever ships these posters out need to start looking for other employment.
Wow! What a shit response,
A "roll bend" is caused by rolling a print too tight to fit into a probably too small tube... so now they are not only blaming the Temps, they are blame g the customer, AND coming up with some bullshit in the process?
This stuff shouldn't be defended, not from a long time print vendor like ames... these are beginner issues
Think I'm going to just stear clear of ames all together moving forward. (That's what poor customer service and quality assurance gets you, less customers)

I received a temporary suspension for saying something negative about Ames - be careful
Got my replacement from Ames, no craft paper, taped ends, huge whole in tube, ripped poster. What a joke. Not sure why I even bother ordering from these shitty companies.
