Can't you just destroy the poster instead of wasting money and sending it back? You can write your name on a piece of paper next to the ripped poster. BOOM! Saved you on shipping it back.
Perfect solution. Think of the environmental impact of shipping that poster back across the country vs. Chris's idea. I'm sure ten club would agree to this if asked.

I didn't realize that caps and tape were so short on supply.
Oh for the days when you got what you paid for.

I'm disappointed - haven't heard back from them, and also that they have taken such a nosedive with their packing. AT LEAST tape the end caps on. Surprised the post office even allowed that.

Pretty sure they're on vacation until after the new year. I wouldn't expect an answe before then.

Were they not shipping transformers posters the same way?
Got mine from Ames as well, fortunately the poster was in good shape but I couldn't believe the packaging. No kraft paper around the poster, just a regular cardboard tube, and the ends were not taped. Plus they charged $19.65 to ship to Florida. In the past Ames posters were always wrapped well in a heavy duty plastic tube and heavily taped. I emailed them to complain about the price and the lack of packaging especially since they are doubling the price of the actual shipping cost. Evidently shipping is just a profit center for them now!

I hope this gets resolved for all of you....did I miss some fine print that this poster was a scratch n dent sale?? This is disappointing and I didn't even buy one

Guys, how much longer are we going to accept the bs that surrounds all these orders? When is enough enough? I say we stop buying all this crap until they start respecting our business. Who is in?

I sent a request to do this. I haven't heard back yet, but will let everyone know how it turns out.

That won't do anything cos' they get a ton of business from folks who don't come to this forum.
Good point. Oh well. I haven't ordered anything from TC in over a year or Ames because of all the hassle and crap they put you through. Guess I'll wait even longer until I order again

Got shipping confirmation for the Mexico City variant I ordered, so someone is there...just not answering emails apparently.

Well it says they're closed on the home page so I wouldn't think they're ignoring you if you don't hear something right away.

Its amazing how its not just 1 or 2 isolated cases, but seem to be problems across the board.

Edit- poster tube was not crushed, just the poster inside.
Said there was "a handful" of gold posters and ended up selling 300?
Is this all correct? If so, Ames should be ashamed of themselves and is DEFINITELY damaging to their rep in the poster/print community
