I steamed my cotton dress shirt for work this morning. I wouldn't do that to a poster, even if there are cotton fibers in it.

I'm disappointed - haven't heard back from them, and also that they have taken such a nosedive with their packing. AT LEAST tape the end caps on. Surprised the post office even allowed that.

Got mine from Ames as well, fortunately the poster was in good shape but I couldn't believe the packaging. No kraft paper around the poster, just a regular cardboard tube, and the ends were not taped. Plus they charged $19.65 to ship to Florida. In the past Ames posters were always wrapped well in a heavy duty plastic tube and heavily taped. I emailed them to complain about the price and the lack of packaging especially since they are doubling the price of the actual shipping cost. Evidently shipping is just a profit center for them now!

they shipped them in the plastic/pvc tube with ridges. no kraft paper. taped ends. no end caps

My Mexico AP came in a cardboard tube, no taped ends, but wrapped in kraft paper. Luckily no damage.

I sent a request to do this. I haven't heard back yet, but will let everyone know how it turns out.

Good point. Oh well. I haven't ordered anything from TC in over a year or Ames because of all the hassle and crap they put you through. Guess I'll wait even longer until I order again

Mine was damaged too. Real odd that Ames didn't take the care they usually do. Maybe because its just a regular poster and not its not a silkscreen.

All the same its a really nice print. Looking forward to future Volumes.

I got mine from the Ten Club as well and it had a nice little dent in one of the ends. Very disappointing.

Edit- poster tube was not crushed, just the poster inside.

So they shipped the Transformer prints the same way? Mexico city? No paper & no tape on cheap tubes?

Said there was "a handful" of gold posters and ended up selling 300?

Is this all correct? If so, Ames should be ashamed of themselves and is DEFINITELY damaging to their rep in the poster/print community

Transformers were shipped in PVC tubes, Kraft paper, and taped ends like they have in the past.

Mexico City was shipped in a cardboard tube w plastic endcaps, kraft paper, and no taped ends.

PJ vs Ames was shipped in a cardboard tube w plastic endcaps, no kraft paper, and no taped ends. One of my ends was missing.

Mexico City variants are shipping now so no idea how those will arrive.
