    Was that under $20?

I can recall, but it was a great show..... See you at the BMH!

I agree with Sarah - I can see why Jeff would want the focus to be on the band he is working with and not separating him out as a member of Pearl Jam.

Agreed. It was bad enough that at all the 2012 shows the crowd gathered mostly in front of Jeff. Awkward and silly.
Yes, however if not for Pearl Jam......

If not for Pearl Jam, the shows would be over-run by Joseph Arthur fans. ;-)

(Edited to add: Got my ticket!!)
Pffftt ... Just leave a nice spot in the middle where I can park myself in front of Richard, one of the most explosive, creative drummers I've ever had the privilege to see play. Of course, it helps that he's a super nice dude on top of that. :)
  • I don't think there will be a bad spot anywhere you land. Have only seen them on YouTube but they look great live. Really looking forward to this event.

    Got my Boston tix!

    Likewise......

I'm trying to recall the last time I saw a musician of comparable fame for less than $20......

It was probably Mr. Bungle or Beck at the Avalon a solid 20 years ago.

    Damn I feel old!

Good call, that price slipped my mind.....

I can remember that I paid $13 for Mr. Bungle @ Avalon in '95, but can't remember RNDM from three years ago.

    Go figure.

^^ I've seen just about every PJ side project (except Mad Season, never saw them), and this may be my favorite (and that includes Ed solo). It just worked for me, really enjoyed the show I saw, looking forward to more! I liked 3 Fish a lot too, and some Brad, but RNDM has been my favorite to date.

Mind you, I hardly listened to it before I saw them live, just didn't have time. So most of my sense of loving them was born in seeing them live.
  • Cool. I'll have to go see them when they come to Boston in March.

I saw Tres Mts (Jeff) with Mike McCready for $13 in philly when they did a short tour

So that's Jeff AND Mike in a club with 300 people for the price of a sandwich lol

I will never understand why more fans didn't go to those shows, I had to drag a friend of mine who has been in the 10c for 15 years? And he loved it

Maybe not given away, but $5 or $10.

Yup. I had an extra for Newark and couldn't give it away. None of my friends wanted to go because they were happy with one NYC show. And at the venue, I wasn't offered anything remotely reasonable. I'd rather have had an empty seat next to me than sell it to someone who wouldn't even pay half face value.

Turned out to be better than NYC, with the debut of Unthought Known, and the Yellow Ledbetter story.

Really wish they'd come to Nashville or Knoxville. Their upcoming tour is too far away for me to go. Really dig their music.

I haven't seen many going to Philly either. But I did see a link to a facebook RNDM meet up through wishlist or JeffAmentsArmy I think, I don't have facebook so hopefully it gets posted here too.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

I'm not even sure it's fair to call it a tour, with only 6 shows.

good point. It reminds me of the "tours" that the hip, new British bands do of North America....
to get press coverage and these are like the only N American cities they know of.

I'd rather not! I really love RNDM, and I don't even think of this band as a PJ side project. As a huge Joseph Arthur fan, I honestly don't connect PJ and RNDM in my head, aside from the fact that I happen to discuss them on the 10C website.

Got tix for the DC show! Fuck it, it's only $22 even after the TicketFly fees. Less than the price of a vinyl record.
