I agree with Sarah - I can see why Jeff would want the focus to be on the band he is working with and not separating him out as a member of Pearl Jam.

Agreed. It was bad enough that at all the 2012 shows the crowd gathered mostly in front of Jeff. Awkward and silly.
Well, I'm going to leave myself open to charges of hypocrisy by saying this, but since I may otherwise never have a chance to see my favourite musician of all-time (and major inspiration) up close, I will attempt to find a spot in front of Jeff, if possible. I never saw Three Fish, I doubt we'll ever get a Tone/While My Heart Beats solo tour, and any future exhibits of his art and photography likely won't make it to the Art Gallery of Ontario. So, if I have the chance to see Jeff play in a small setting, I am all for it. That said, I certainly dig RNDM as its own entity. Love Richard from all his work with Jeff, and because of RNDM, I am now turned on to the vocals and lyrics of Joseph Arthur. So, if I get in the venue I will be happy, and if I get up close to the stage in Jeff's area, awesome.

Saw them when they played the Paradise in Boston on the last tour...... Great show.

I've been reluctant to hit the Brighton Music Hall since it went corporate, (I had a lot of love for Harper's Ferry) but I'm glad they are making a local appearance, especially since there are only 7 total dates scheduled as of now.

Bummer for those who don't have any dates nearby them, hopefully they schedule more for those who expect to miss out.

    See you in Boston!
Haven't been to BMH myself, wish they were playing the Paradise like last time. But I'm not complaining!

Haha. Fair enough. I am a massive Joseph Arthur fan (I'm a Jeff and Richard fan too, but I'm bananas about everything Joseph has ever done; basically a megafan), so I would be staking out in front of him. So I get it, lol! It's just that when most of the crowd is doing the same thing in front of Jeff, it gets really weird! And it doesn't go unnoticed. Joseph commented about it in a blog, lol.

They are about 4 blocks away from each other, but the Paradise just feels so much more accessible due to the college scene on Brighton Ave.

Lousy parking scene there.... Oh well, I guess I'll have to take a cab or Uber, which won't be the worst thing either!

:fearful: I was up front at the last show...

    Is there one for philly?
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

Anyone know the password for NYC? There's no pre-sale listed but it looks like there's one going on if you have the offer code. PM please if you can help!

I loved Harper's Ferry. I haven't been since it became Brighton Music Hall.

Looks like Big City pool hall is no more. That's kind of a bummer.

Oh well, guess I can still cont on throwing down some cash and getting schooled at Silhouette.

There's always parking at Agganis, but if there's anything going on there that night parking will be impossible. Plus it's Friday night...

Lulu's down the street is my new spot before BMS shows. One of the best tap lists in the city and solid bar food. Also the Dise kind of sucks now after the renovations from a few years ago. Brighton Music Hall is smaller and has better sound imo. Plus the Dise was like 1/3 full for the last RNDM show so it makes sense that they made the change this time.

    Likewise......

I'm trying to recall the last time I saw a musician of comparable fame for less than $20......

It was probably Mr. Bungle or Beck at the Avalon a solid 20 years ago.

    Damn I feel old!
