Gern, your optimism about Bernie is both heartwarming and very delusional. But glad you are passionate none the less. You guys need to look outside your bubble. Its not going to happen.

Some red folks won't be swayed regardless. But the bubble you're talking about is your own.

The first comprehensive look at the impact of all of Sanders' spending and tax proposals on the economy was done by Gerald Friedman, a University of Massachusetts Amherst economics professor.

This article in the Journal was a fraud that cited a paper and gave the exact opposite conclusion of said paper. The original conclusion was that median income would grow by 22,000$ under Sanders' plan.

But why am I even bothering, you aren't here to debate, just here to troll.

You bother because I hadn't seen it before and if it's been refuted, I need to know that too. :) Thank you...it helps.

I think what some people here get a little unhappy about is seeing the repeated statements about how Bernie Sanders wants everything to be "free". Now that we have had a number a substantial rebuttals to that by way of reliable information, hopefully those tired false accusations will end. But maybe they won't and that's OK with me because they are easily dismissed. My advice at this point would be to ignore those false statements and carry on with the business of disseminating pertinent and useful information.

The military isn't "free"...why is it that the right wingers don't post memes showing how each GOP candidate is asking for "free" military spending? Or is Trump making Mexico pay for that to?

Yes, that's true, but there is a huge difference. If someone calls the veracity of the meme into play, makes a counter argument, or asks a serious question, we will respond like adults and not pull a Trump, ie. throw out more insults and ignore any substantive discussion.

The momentum is happening. It's building. And why? Because that's what is great about people when they start to wake up- good things happen. Changes for the better happen. To not see that is ultimate pessimism and we don't need the luxury of pessimism.

The Socialist aspect (Democratic or otherwise, it won't matter) will be a bigger detriment than his Judaism. That won't fly in many places.

I understand that a lot of Americans are illogically and ignorantly scared of the word "Socialism" even when it's used as one word in a different ideology, lol, but the statement was that the non-Christian thing will have a huge impact. I am surprised anyone thinks this.

I hear you. I'll be the first to admit I don't understand how or why the American lunatic right will react to things. So maybe his religion will play a bigger role than I anticipate, but none of those people were going to vote for the Democrat anyway. The socialism angle though, that will have an impact in moderate households. Independent households. Some Democratic households, too. That's why I think it will be a much bigger deal.
