I haven't read all the posts. But, how legitimate are these dates? Seems odd to play 4 shows shows in FL and 3 in the carolinas. Yes, I know they routinely play that many in CA and PA, however FL is not a PJ hotspot, most bands don't sell well there, and its economy sucks. 3 in carolinas is equally puzzling (and they got a show last year). So does Lexington given the fact it's so close to Cincy and they got a show last year. I wouldn't be shocked to see philly, Toronto, and NY though. I'm just not buying this schedule. Another site has Houston as a rumored show. Any truth to it? How serious is this leak ??? When can we expect an announcement ?
One thing I have realized over the last decade? Not one single person here on this board has any clue, when it comes to inside information. Not one single person. What are the chances of these tour dates and shows being legit? 0% Just wait until an official announcement.
Take me piece by piece..... Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....

I live in the Carolinas and they didn't play here last year. They played Charlotte in 2013 which was the first time they played there since 2003. The Carolinas are way over due same as Atlanta and Nashville and Florida. So the locations make sense to me. Hit their big markets in the NE and make up some time in the SE.
I hope they tour just as much as everyone, but the list that's going around makes zero sense. Go back to the tour page and you'll see that they don't spend more than 3 weeks on a leg of a tour. Last time they did was 2006 and even then the legs were very close to 3 weeks long.

So they added 10 days to the recent 3 week trend... it doesn't seem that unreasonable to me... it's not like this is a 3 month leg with 60 shows being rumored
I think with all of their kids in school, jeff not being a huge fan of the road, ect. there is zero chance at this point that they start making the legs longer. I do think that there is some truth to the dates and a lot of wishful thinking.
I saw on facebook that a guy got a pic with ed when he was in Pittsburgh for the Cubs wild card win and that Ed said they would be back in Pittsburgh next year. Makes the Pittsburgh date a little more believable.

We are talking about 5 weeks, not 5 months... with no festival attached I'm sure they want to maximize ticket sales and profit
I think the rumored dates are 100% legit and the announcement is imminent so they can finish the 10c ticket sales before leaving for south america

Yeah with a 2 week break in between, so like i was saying, 3 week stints are how they operate. Also it's worth mentioning that this was behind an album release.
Lexington is a Saturday... with a night off before & two after... definitely makes it interesting...
Toronto 1 is Friday 13th... Tour finale is Saturday... obvious blowout potential
Philly on Friday night will be fucking sick, we all know that...
Ft Lauderdale/Miami kicks off the tour on a Friday/Saturday...
Atlanta/Nashville is a Friday/Saturday... haven't played proper shows there since 2003... anyone else think Jack White could join them in Nashville? Red Mosquito maybe?
A lot of people will try for tickets and that's fine. The hype machine for the shows will go into overdrive.

Don't you think it's EITHER /OR on many of the dates? Ex. either Miami or Ft. Lauderdale? Either Tampa or Jax? I think Atlanta is a lock, maybe Nashville too. Especially on the Southern leg. Lexington may also be a lock, with just one Carolina show.
So of these, I am betting 5 or 6 total.
Ps I am going to all of them! And Philly. See you there, from an Atlantan.

My dream is three fridays in a row --> philly, hartford, toronto
If the rumored dates are true, lookin like Brooklyn, Philly, Albany/Hartford, and Toronto for me. Been fantasizing and planning non-existent travel already.....look what this band has done to me
totally in the same boat. dreaming about travel plans and how I could make that same run work. need to start NOW paying in my concert credits to hubby and "mommy will be away for just a bit" credits to my kiddos. :wink in all honesty I will be more than thrilled with philly, ny, Hartford/Albany which are all drive-able. but I have a free airline ticket to use so would love to fly somewhere for a destination.... fly there, see concert, fly home. they wouldn't even miss me. it's not lost on me how lucky I am to have such problems to work out!

You have to maximize your time on the road... you cant have big holes in your schedule with 3 days in between shows, etc... it's a waste of money... the schedule looks 100% reasonable to me
