So I understand that pearl jam can't play anywhere within 300 miles of Roo but how long does that rule apply? For instance if Roo is in June could they play ATL or Nashville in April?9/4/98, 8/4/00, 12/8/02, 12/9/02, 4/15/03, 4/16/03, 4/19/03, 4/25/03, 4/26/03, 4/28/03, 4/29/03, 4/30/03, 7/8/03, 7/9/03, 9/28/04, 9/29/04, 10/6/04, 9/1/05, 9/2/05, 5/16/06, 5/17/06, 5/27/06, 5/28/06, 5/30/06, 6/1/06, 6/3/06, 8/5/07, 6/11/08, 6/12/08, 6/14/08, 6/16/08, 6/24/08, 6/25/080

I think the link in this thread that mentions the 300 miles also mentions 60 days before or afterTheGossman said:So I understand that pearl jam can't play anywhere within 300 miles of Roo but how long does that rule apply? For instance if Roo is in June could they play ATL or Nashville in April?

Roo has the 300 mile/60 day policy. So, if Pearl Jam headlines Roo on, say, June 10th then they could feasibly play ATL and NashvilleTheGossman said:So I understand that pearl jam can't play anywhere within 300 miles of Roo but how long does that rule apply? on or before April 11th

my guess is Roo is what delayed this whole thing and now the april/may tour will be pushed back to summer. This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0

how about a residency somewhere? was thinking about this after the survey regarding would you travel to see PJ. Maybe a Billy Joel type thing, one a month for a year somewhere or like every other night at a club spot in Seattle.FrankieG said:What other types of PJ25 events are possible?
There is the destination weekend (like PJ20, but I think Wrigley would also count for this?).
There is a couple "special" shows in big cities (NY, Chicago, LA, Seattle).
Maybe a run of small theater shows? (1 ticket per person for the whole leg, or whatever logistic rules you want to imagine).
Could the PJ25 event be a "festival weekend", like team up with a festival and play the headlining slot all weekend, with appearances on other sets/bands. And then maybe have the festival "themed" towards PJ's 25th?
Would I be disappointed if the PJ25 "event" was just a full tour schedule? i.e. no specific show?0 -

There are exceptions to these radius clauses.dmbolp said:

Lollapalooza is known for having the strictest radius clause of the Big 4, and they still allow acts to "break the rules". One example that comes to mind is Outkast's headlining set in 2013. They headlined Summerfest, which is well inside the radius, the weekend before Lolla.
If a festival wants an act bad enough, they'll accommodate.0 -
I Like the DMB Caravan approach...this hits every coast (East x2 b/c lets face it we need it) and it gives people choices, one to 3 days...travel far or not..... Getting tickets would not be horrendous and they can make it pretty affordable. It's a great way to do PJ25 for the fans, hardcore to casual
Granted its a big undertaking but c'mon it's brilliant.Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!0 -
I think this would be a great idea. Ever since DMB did it, I've been hoping that if they did celebrate their 25th, Pearl Jam world do something like it.Sprunkn7 said:I Like the DMB Caravan approach...this hits every coast (East x2 b/c lets face it we need it) and it gives people choices, one to 3 days...travel far or not..... I'd also love for them to pick a few cities, play one big show, maybe two, then play in the same city in a small venue0 -
Mumford does a similar festival called Gentleman of the Road.Sprunkn7 said:I Like the DMB Caravan approach...this hits every coast (East x2 b/c lets face it we need it) and it gives people choices, one to 3 days...travel far or not..... I was there for a pj show a few years back and had a fudging blast. it was cinco de mayo when we got into town the day before the show and the place was jumpin. Met a blond Buckeye, got drunk on Patron and got some (if ya need it). That place is allrightwit memy2hands said:Ohio State blows

Will 2016 be the best year in the history of the band?
I'm thinking it's very possible
#PJ250 -
That's a good one I hadn't thought of! But I actually really doubt that they would do this because my impression is that they like to tour, and then they like to not tour, so playing 1 show every month would go against that. Maybe instead of a residency, they just did 6 shows over 8 days in the same venue? Like Adele at MSG?pjhawks said:

I think several nights at one location over a period of time is what was meant by residency.FrankieG said:

Wouldn't residency imply a longer period of time, on the week or month scale? Rather than just multiple shows during a 1 week period? I don't consider the 4 2009 Spectrum shows a residency.3days said:
