Will be shocked if there isn't a second leg on the west coast in the works.
Agreed. It just feels like the Ride Festival seals it that they are moving that direction. I wouldn't be surprised if the routing is already planned and they are just giving the festival some time to sell tickets.
Given that Radiohead has already "confirmed", if PJ is playing Oshega, with possible Arcade Fire, LCD, and Wolf Parade rumours, this could be (at least in my humble opinion) the best festival lineup of the past decade. Of course, given as its the same weekend as Lolla, there should be lots of crossover bands, but with our Canadian dollar (and with the fact that we'll be in Wrigley later in the summer), Montreal is much more appealing as an AWESOME warm up weekend to Fenway!
Although, I'll admit I tend to get overexcited in advance of lineup drops haha

I'm the same way. I get caught up in all the "Led Zeppelin reuniting" and "Freddie Mercury hologram" rumors. Then, when the lineup for whatever festival is announced, I'm usually let down because it is 30% EDM and headlined by some DJ I don't care about.
That being said, I'm also toying with the idea of going to Osheaga before the Fenway shows. I can't see them landing PJ and Radiohead, but I can still dream... for the next three hours.

Haha, so true! Always such a let down when they drop big $ on EDM headliners. I get that it makes it fun for the kids, but still, I want to see bands, not some dude and his computer.

I've seen Chilis live many times, and the unfortunate reality (imo) is that they suck live. Lana's not a headliner. Guess will have to see Radiohead elsewhere.

I'm pretty sure by this time PJ20 Alpine was leaked and I already had a hotel booked! This secrecy is killing me. I hope it's in WA for a number of reasons, not the least being when in Rome..well, it would be great to scoop up some edibles
I thought they didn't announce PJ20 till like May. They took forever when everyone knew there was SOMETHING going on.

Yep it was a looooong wait for official word on PJ20 at Alpine. I seem to remember Mike being a guest on the Tim Bierman/The Rob radio show and letting Alpine slip but that was much later in the spring than we are now.
And...that year we knew for sure (from a late 2010 interview/article?) PJ20 was going to be a destination weekend somewhere in the middle of the country. This year we have tons of speculation but nothing nearly so definitive.
Am I the only one that still believes 25 years to be a milestone that the band doesn't care much to celebrate? Kind of cheapens the significance of the anniversary shows if they come so frequently from here on out, imo. I'm just thinking we'll get a bunch more tour dates in the usual locations across the country.

I kinda get what you're saying because I really cared about PJ20 but not too upset about the potential to miss another anniversary show. With that being said in 2011 I had no other options but this year there's plenty of shows within hours from me.
If they do have a PJ25 in Seattle (which I think they will) I hope it's at a large stadium like CenturyLink Field instead of the Gorge. Downtown Seattle is so beautiful. Not that the Gorge isn't beautiful. I was there for the 2005 show. It's amazing. Just easier for hotels, eating and not having to sleep in car like I did in 2005.
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.
I guess I am going to be surprised if there is much more to this year. I think "PJ25" is the tour and Fenway/Wrigley with the band not really intending on creating another destination event for their 25th. 4 ballpark shows in a summer is pretty unique already for this band. I could be totally wrong, but I just don't see another full leg of a tour this year. I think this is pretty much the 2016 Tour.

I said this earlier. Not sure if it was in this thread or not. But I agree no big PJ25 event but i do expect some west coast dates. Just make sense.
I'm still kinda surprised the spring dates weren't branded as being a 25th anniversary tour. Maybe the thinking that this isn't a big one they want to celebrate has some merit.
