I think this would be a great idea. Ever since DMB did it, I've been hoping that if they did celebrate their 25th, Pearl Jam world do something like it.
I'd also love for them to pick a few cities, play one big show, maybe two, then play in the same city in a small venue

I was there for a pj show a few years back and had a fudging blast. it was cinco de mayo when we got into town the day before the show and the place was jumpin. Met a blond Buckeye, got drunk on Patron and got some (if ya need it). That place is allrightwit me

Maybe a run of small theater shows? (1 ticket per person for the whole leg, or whatever logistic rules you want to imagine). Could the PJ25 event be a "festival weekend", like team up with a festival and play the headlining slot all weekend, with appearances on other sets/bands. And then maybe have the festival "themed" towards PJ's 25th?

Wouldn't residency imply a longer period of time, on the week or month scale? Rather than just multiple shows during a 1 week period? I don't consider the 4 2009 Spectrum shows a residency.
