Jazz Fest 2010 was one of the most fun shows I've seen them do. That is an awesome, awesome festival in a great town.

Never been to Jazz Fest, and it's probably the only festival I'd consider seeing them at. PJ, jazz, and Cajun food.... sounds like a win-win-win to me.

Sure, it's not as long as their regular sets, but look at the setlist from last time: So You Wanna Be A Rock'N'Roll Star, In My Tree, Tremor Christ, Lukin (played second), Half Full, Down. I wouldn't mind seeing that show.
There's a great vibe to that town, and add in a little PJ = incredible. Of course I'd rather see them do a long set with lots of gems. But the experience there was awesome. We got fairly close on Mike's side and had plenty of room. The irony is that most of the fans who are there are actually casual fans, because the diehards discount the show as a festival show, meaning you can actually get close if you want because you're fighting people who don't care how close they are.

Anyway. Don't sleep on Jazz Fest. Awesome time.

ACL, Jazz Fest, Lolla, Voodoo...all good. Camping for 3 days? No thanks. Where they should play is the Newport Folk Fest.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

    Oh come on!

3 days of sleeping in a tent, with no showers, and eating wild berries doesn't appeal to you?
Bonnaroo can be your own personal "Into The Wild".

Will Supertramp be playing as well?

I've seen PJ at three festivals, Bonnaroo, Lolla, and Outside Lands. The only festival that wasn't casual fans was Lolla, where it was pretty intense and lots of die hards definitely made the trip. But at Outside Lands and Bonnaroo I had no trouble getting close without being sandwiched in.

Outside Lands was a lot of fun! When that fog rolled in...whoa. Temperature dropped fast!

Thank God it's not just me. I went to ACL last year and I loved PJ, but I was done with the day before they even took the stage -- and I showed up at about 4pm.

I'm glad they will get paid well for Bonoroo and will likely have a blast doing it, but losing out on the Atlanta and Nashville date stink if indeed that happens which it seems it will. I was going to go to both but will choose not to travel to Roo.
My loss obviously but oh well. I've lived in Atlanta for 12 years and i've been waiting for a non festival local show all that time and have yet to attend one :(

I feel for you but I have to say I loved Midtown fest in 2012. I had a blast in Atlanta. Great city.
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

I'll fly to see them at red rocks. Actually chose not to go see MMJ at red rocks in case PJ decided to do that this year

Red Rocks tickets would be ludicrously hard to obtain. Like Borgata level difficult.

Had a blast at ACL just wish PJ could've played longer. Walked a half hour to our hotel every night but I didn't mind the exercise.

Not even if it were free, haha. I certainly hope they do it because clearly there are plenty of folks that are in to it, but not my cup of tea anymore. The halls inside of Wrigley during the rain delay were my last hurrah with unorganized masses. I love me some hotels, bars, rows and aisles.

If they play red rocks then it's gonna be at least 2 dates. Maybe even 3. And if they are playing dates all over the country next year then these might not be a difficult as you might think.

i don't see them at red rocks, but they could do 3 nights after 50 other dates and the tickets would be difficult. it's a destination show, that holds 10K people. it was hard to get tickets for wrigley at 42K.
