Global Citizen is great and all cool they're doing it, but really do hope they're playing a MSG show to go along with it.

The band isn't big on anniversary's. PJ20 was just a rare thing. If you remember the Vegas 00 show, they just said a quick speech bout it being the 10th anniversary before playing crown. If the show does fall on the 25th anniversary, don't expect the band to make a big deal bout it, more so just dumb luck the shows fall around that date. I still contend it's 2 nights at msg.

They have to be playing more. I can't believe they'd drive all their gear and crew 3000 miles across country to play 1 unpaid 90 min set. Makes no sense.

Don't think they would need to bring all that much, would think it will mainly just be a few guitars and drum set up.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...

Not to add further poop...but Eddie is bringing however much stuff he brings with him for a one-off benefit in Chicago soon. So not out of the realm of possibility.

Exactly. Everything is already set up for them, but their gear and security. Wouldn't be that hard for them to just do a one off. Though I can't see them coming to nyc for a barely 2 hour unpaid show. As others have mentioned maybe they are playing global citzen fest and msg. Not like global citzen would care if pj did play msg unlike other festivals where they have contracts that state you can't play within a 100 miles of said festival between these dates
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

Please, please, please let the MSG tweet be a hint of MSG shows and not just New York in general to represent Central Park. Please! Four night Halloween stand ala Philly 2009? Please?

They would probably make more as a tax writeoff on a festival than they would selling out an arena. Large festival headliners can command 1 to 5 million. So they stand to make a lot by "playing for free"

at the time of the 10 year, they werent big on anniversaries. different mindset of the band now. no longer the "biggest band in the world fighting everyone to not be labeled and backed into a corner". theyre old dudes who made it through all that and are proud of their success now and feel ok recognizing it.
im not saying that theyre definitely doing a pj25 at msg this year, but they will do something to celebrate it

MSG is def looking like a possibility..... they wouldn't tease us like that would they?
I hope not but they probably underestimate how insane we really are!
Dude, I hope they don't by now. Just a quick sampling of threads in here and they should know there will be some pissed off folks after that "specific" teaser. I am happy just to see some show this year in North America, but I def want to see them at MSG before I die or they quit touring.

I've found 100pacer to be pretty reliable. I guess we will see.
He is correct they will be playing
C'mon, just for fun give us a hint what your rumored show is.
No, really. They are playing and I've known it all along. I orignally had the thought of trolling and sending someone a box of Avocados. Upon readIng back I realize I made a bet to donate an album, that I do not own to charity. I did not realize this at first and cannot bring myself to mail that to a charity.
douchebag, except the fact you are an idiot and man-up and pay the guy.
Don't we need to see who wins the bet before demanding he pay up?
