I think they should reserve these "Stay Tuned" pictures with hints and what not for multiple show/tour announcements. If its really the festival and nothing more, thats fine, but just announce it. No need to build it up.

Exactly like that. They are pretty good at building hype actually, to the point where they manage to work everyone up to into a frenzy. It's fairly impressive.

wonder if theyll play a proper nyc arena as well or do a small club show like when they played the vic bf lollapalooza. they have played the beacon and irving plaza in recent years so anything is possible i guess. hoping for the former though..
Either way there will be some pearl jam in NYC this year which is enough for me. As far as the stay tuned goes, I would guess that thousands of new people will have signed up for global citizen and that a whole bunch of petitions and other stuff will have been done to earn points.
