    I agree. The show is free. Festival won't lose revenue if PJ plays geographical close to Central Park. They could play a week at MSG from sept 19-25th and it wouldn't effect Global citizens.
    Believe me I hope to god there's MSG shows. None of the headliners in years past played anywhere near NYC except Neil 2 months later.

    Yes it's free but they want people there, for it to be a huge event and most importantly web participation.

    I would never consider missing PJ voluntarily except this year if there are MSG shows and GC. And I think a lot of people would follow suit.

    ^^^ This. Also as mentioned earlier, they don't have to bring much for GC. Stage, lights, and sound are already there. If they do play MSG, now they have to lug everything across the country.

    Maybe I'm just sour since I'll be in NYC next week, and don't see the wife agreeing on going back in 9 weeks. Plus, I booked a trip to the southwest the week after GC, so I'm out.

    I think one thing we need to remember when analyzing the photo is that whoever is doing their web stuff these days is not careful. Whoever is doing it is probably just hinting at somewhere in NYC.

    The people posting pictures aren't too careful about how they use photos in general. We know this because of how they pair lyrics with any-ol-picture whether it has anything to do with the mood of lyric or not! Hell, they don't even make sure the lyrics are correct!!!!!!!!

    lets say they were to play a night or two at MSG outside of the Global Citizen fest...

    I would Imagine ticket prices/demand would be similar to the Wrigley/London,ONT demand... fair to say?

    Just saw that the Pope is gonna be in NYC the night before the Global Citizen Festival...
    AND he's got MSG booked that night!!!
    There was a Billy Joel concert scheduled for that night that was moved to Saturday!!

    I have it on good authority (as someone likes to say) that the announcement will be that Pearl Jam will be going on an undetermined hiatus to pursue other side projects and that their final show will be in Regina.

    Pearl Jam is over folks.....face it
